She casually pulled out her phone and pointed it at the studio head. “Mind repeating that promise for me?”
The man blinked, a little thrown off, but still repeated everything as requested. The moment the words left his mouth, he had a bad feeling.
Before he could react, Olivia followed up, “Oh, and by the way–how much are you paying me once I fix this?”
The studio head hesitated.
Is she serious? Does she actually think she can deal with a virus like this?
He didn’t believe Olivia could do anything about the situation. But since he had lost her footage, he humored her. “Ms. Carter, if you can actually fix this, I’ll pay you an extra 42,000 dollars on top.”
Olivia grinned. “Sounds good.”
With the deal recorded for evidence, she was ready to get to work.
The studio head gave Zayn a deadpan stare, silently questioning if the person he had brought here was completely out of her mind.
Olivia, unfazed, walked straight over to Silhouette Studio’s cybersecurity specialist, who looked one step away from losing it.
“Move.”
The man, still frantically trying to fix the virus, snapped back without even looking at her.
“Are you blind? I’m busy!”
Olivia didn’t waste time arguing. Since he wasn’t moving, she grabbed him by the collar and lifted him clean off the chair.
Like a misbehaving toddler.
The man went completely blank, hanging there like a stunned cat.

“Hey! What the heck are you doing? You can’t just throw random files in! Do you even understand how contagious this virus is?” The tech guy nearly lost his mind trying to stop her.
But Olivia didn’t spare him a glance.
The moment the USB connected, a chibi Wendigo bounced onto the screen.

The tech guy watched in confusion as Little Wendigo huffed and puffed, then waddled its way over to the tombstone.
And then, “Awooo!”
It opened its mouth and started gnawing on the gravestone.
The cybersecurity specialist just stared, completely dumbfounded.
Ever since the virus hit, every computer in the studio had been fully locked down.
The mouse didn’t work. The keyboard didn’t work. There was nothing left except a digital gravestone.
So how did this dumb–looking little “puppy” even get in?
“This… puppy…” The tech guy watched, slack–jawed, as the chubby creature chomped away at the gravestone. In just a few bites, it had completely chewed it down to nothing.
“Watch your mouth. That’s a Wendigo!” Olivia corrected him.
The tech guy was speechless.
Wendigo? Miss, your so–called “Wendigo” looks like it’s one bite away from rolling instead of walking.
Just as he was still processing this bizarre chibi creature. Little Wendigo, having finished its meal, suddenly opened its mouth wide.
“Blurp!”
It vomited everything back out.
And just like that, every single file that had been erased by the Grim Reaper Knocking on Doors Virus came spewing out, perfectly restored on the computer.
The cybersecurity expert just stared in shock, struggling to process what he had just witnessed.
“A… super defense system?” He gawked at the chubby little Wendigo. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, there was no way he would have believed that this silly looking thing was actually a high–level security
system.
Olivia didn’t even acknowledge him. She casually scanned through the recovered files–and sure enough, the preview cut for Legacy of the Dynasty was right there.
Without hesitation, she copied it onto her USB and got ready to leave.
The studio head, who had not taken Olivia seriously at all, had just witnessed her wipe out a virus and restore an entire computer’s data like it was nothing.
And now–she was about to walk out the door.
The man fell to his knees on the spot.
“Please, I’m begging you! I’ll pay extra–just fix the rest of the computers too!”
