While Alexander was calling the butler to unlock the door, Olivia dialed Vance’s number directly.
“What are you up to? Did you lock the door?” Olivia demanded.
On the other end of the line, Vance’s voice was filled with pride and self–satisfaction.
Hey, don’t thank me too much. I know you refused to sign with my company because you don’t believe I can help you win over my brother. Well, now I’m showing you my sincerity!”
“Are you insane? Who wants to win over your brother? Open the door right now!” Olivia gritted her teeth, wishing she could strangle this idiot.
Alexander seemed to hear her words and glanced at her.
Vance, oblivious to Olivia’s growing fury, continued enthusiastically.
“Olivia, don’t be shy. Trust me, I’ll keep my promise and make sure you win over my brother. Take advantage of tonight’s chance to be alone with him–go get him!” Vance hung up before Olivia could even respond.
Downstairs, Vance gleefully put away his phone and exchanged a glance with Liam.
“Grandpa, I’ve got my side handled. How about yours?” Vance asked.
Liain, sipping his tea leisurely, replied, “I’ve had everyone’s phones thrown into the water?
Vance gave Liam a silent thumbs–up.
Genius.
In the room, Olivia tried calling Vance again, only to find his phone turned off.
“No answer,” Alexander said, his sharp brows knitting together slightly.
He had tried calling the butler and Liam, but no one picked up. It was as if the entire household had vanished.
Taking a deep breath, Olivia said, “I’m kicking the door down.”
She was ready to tear Vance apart.
When Alexander emerged from the bathroom in sleepwear, he saw Olivia trying to kick the door open. The heavy, custom–made door didn’t budge.
“It’s custom–built, imported, and blast–resistant,” Alexander said coolly.

Unless someone opened it from the outside, even a bomb wouldn’t get through.
Olivia cursed under her breath. Rich people are the worst!

Determined, she ran to the balcony door, thinking she could jump off if needed–it was only the second floor.
But the balcony door was locked just as securely.
The universe is out to get me!
With no other options, Olivia and Alexander were stuck in the room together.
Alexander’s gaze settled on Olivia, unreadable and calm.
She suddenly remembered the scene from when she first woke up after being reborn–right in the middle of drugging Alexander. Now…
He doesn’t think I planned this, does he?
“This is your brother’s doing,” Olivia blurted out.
Alexander raised an eyebrow.
Olivia clenched her fists, her desire to murder Vance intensifying.
“So, you’ll have to take responsibility,” she said.
“Responsibility?” Alexander’s gaze turned even more curious.
Olivia nodded firmly. “I’m sleeping on the bed. You’re taking the floor.”
Alexander glanced at her, faint amusement flickering in his eyes.
He had initially assumed her recent indifference was a strategy, a pretense to lure him in.
Now, it seemed she wasn’t acting at all.
“There are extra blankets and pillows over there. You’ll sleep…” Olivia rummaged through the closet and pulled out spare bedding, ready to set up Alexander’s sleeping spot on the floor..
Before she could finish, Alexander stretched out his long legs and lay down on the bed.
Olivia stood frozen, holding the blankets. Is he a demon?
“Get down!” she yelled, furious.
What is wrong with these brothers? Is either of them normal?

Alexander, lying comfortably on the soft mattress, closed his eyes.
Olivia was speechless.
Grumbling under her breath, she spread the bedding on the floor, turned off the lights, removed her glasses, and wrapped herself tightly in the blankets.
Damn capitalists!

After Olivia settled down, Alexander slowly opened his eyes. In the dim moonlight, his gaze gered on Olivia, cocooned like a silkworm in her blankets. His expression was dark and indecipherable.
