Now, in this life, fate had handed Olivia an opportunity to settle scores much sooner than expected. Staring at Jack, her fingers curled into a fist, the itch for justice burning in her veins.
Lucas led the way into one of Lock Bar’s private rooms where Jack sat surrounded by his usual entourage of lackeys and two sweet–faced women draped over his shoulders.
When Jack saw Lucas, his expression brightened, ready to greet him. But the moment his eyes landed on the figure behind Lucas, his grin froze.
Olivia.
Recognition flickered in Jack’s eyes–he had handed her photo to the thugs, after all. His expression quickly turned sour.
“Mr. Thompson, care to explain this?” Jack’s tone was sharp, his gaze locked on Olivia as he straightened in
his seat.
That single reaction was all Lucas needed to confirm Jack’s guilt.
“Jack,” Lucas said, his usual easygoing demeanor replaced by a cool, authoritative air. “This is my friend. Why the hell are you sending people to mess with her?”
Jack arched a brow, his voice dripping with faux innocence. “Mess with her? Of course not. I only sent them to… ensure she never uses those hands of hers again. Lucas, I’m giving you a courtesy here by explaining myself. This Olivia offended Lil, and if she thinks she’ll get away with it, she’s sorely mistaken.”
The mention of Lil clicked for Lucas immediately. Jack had been chasing Lily, a fellow student at St. Rona Academy, for years with no success. Despite being repeatedly rejected, he styled himself as her personal
avenger.
“Try it,” a cold voice interrupted.
Benjamin’stepped forward, his towering frame exuding an icy menace. His dark eyes locked onto Jack, daring him to continue.
Jack froze for a moment. Benjamin?
“Mr. Benjamin, you’re stepping in for this girl too?” Jack’s voice cracked slightly, the bravado in his tone faltering.
Benjamin’s family name carried far more weight than Jack’s. If Lucas was a thorn in his side, Benjamin was a wrecking ball.
“Exactly.” Benjamin glanced at Olivia briefly, his voice steady and calm.

Jack’s mind scrambled. Olivia was no longer just some random girl–she had Lucas and Benjamin on her side. Alone, he could handle Lucas. But Benjamin too? That was a losing game.
“Fine,” Jack relented through gritted teeth. “Since you’re asking, Mr. Benjamin, I’ll let this go. Consider it done.”
Benjamin’s expression didn’t waver. “Apologize.”
Jack blinked, incredulous. “Apologize? To her?” He scoffed, gesturing dismissively. “Don’t push it, Benjamin. I’m already stepping back here. You expect me to apologize to this nobody? She doesn’t even deserve-”
Before he could finish, Olivia’stepped forward, her cal presence silencing both Lucas and Benjamin.
“Since you’ve found him for me,” she said with a faint smile, “I’ll handle it from here.”
Lucas and Benjamin exchanged wary glances. Something about Olivia’s tone set off alarm bells in their minds.
Jack, oblivious, smirked, mistaking Olivia’s approach for submission.
“You’re Olivia, right? I’ll give you credit for having the guts to bring these two in. Clearly, you’re good at keeping them entertained. Tell you what, pour me a drink, and I’ll consider this incident behind us.”
Olivia’s gaze shifted to the table where a collection of untouched beer bottles rested. Her lips curved upward.
“Sure,” she said sweetly. “Let me get you a drink.”
Without hesitation, she grabbed a bottle and swung it hard.
The heavy glass shattered against Jack’s skull, shards flying in every direction as beer mixed with blood trickled down his face.
The room fell silent.
The two women screamed, leaping off the couch.
Lucas froze in disbelief. “Are you insane?! This is his bar”
Benjamin remained silent, but his sharp eyes flicked between Jack and Olivia, ready to step in if needed.
Jack stumbled, clutching his head as he howled in pain. “You… crazy… b—”
Before he could finish, Olivia grabbed another bottle.
“You’re welcome to another,” she said, her tone as sweet as before.
Jack’s entourage snapped out of their daze, enraged and ready to attack.
“Get her!” Jack roared, blood dripping down his face. “I’ll kill her!”
Benjamin was already moving, cutting off two of Jack’s lackeys with swift, brutal punches.
