Lucas gave Olivia a look like she’d just said the most absurd thing he’d ever heard and whispered, “You’re not seriously worried about Mr. Benjamin’s safety, so you’re trying to keep him out of the race, are you?”
Olivia rolled her eyes. “You need to keep your treatment going.”
Benedict, unaware of the actual situation, assumed Benjamin had said as much. The amused expression on his face showed a slight crack.
“You’re joking, right? If Benjamin wasn’t planning to race, why would he even come here?” he asked, clearly skeptical.
Olivia replied casually, “He’s just here to watch. We’re heading out for dinner afterward.”
Benedict was speechless.
Benjamin looked at Olivia.
She wants to have dinner with me? In that case, skipping the race doesn’t sound so bad.
Upon noticing Benjamin’s lack of objection, Benedict’s face stiffened further, his smile faltering as a hint of desperation seeped through.
“Benjamin, this isn’t funny. You know how cocky Hudson’s been today. Nobody here stands a chance against him but you! I’ve put down a big bet on you to win…”
Realizing Benjamin wasn’t refuting Olivia’s claim, Benedict turned his attention to her, sensing her influence over him. Putting on a friendly smile, he said, “Miss, how about this? Once Benjamin finishes the race, I’ll treat you both to dinner. You can have anything you want.”
Olivia observed the subtle shifts in Benedict’s expression.
If she had only suspected him before, she was now certain. Benedict was the one who framed Benjamin. If Benjamin skipped the race, Benedict’s entire plan would fall apart.
He had been sucking up to Benjamin all along, waiting for the right moment to remove him without arousing suspicion.
“Waiting around is boring,” Olivia said nonchalantly. “How about you get me a car, and I’ll race too?”
Benjamin’s eyes lit up immediately. From the moment they’d met, he’d been itching for a chance to race against her.
Benedict was caught off guard. It was the first time he’d encountered a girl asking to join a race. “Well…”
“If it’s a problem, we’ll just go have dinner,” Olivia said, feigning regret.
Benedict couldn’t let Benjamin leave. Gritting his teeth, he smiled. “That’s fine. How about you take my car?”
He led her to his silver–gray sports car and handed her the keys.

Olivia shook her head. “Not good.”

Benedict blinked in confusion. This car cost me millions to modify! How could it not be good? Does she even know what she’s talking about?
“It’s too ugly,” Olivia added.
Benedict glanced at his sleek, silver–gray sports car, which he’d considered one of the most stylish vehicles tonight.
“I like pink,” Olivia said flatly.
Benedict nearly choked.
Lucas, standing nearby, blinked in disbelief. Pink? Since when is Olivia into pink?
Benedict’s eye twitched as he processed the insult to his prized car. All those millions spent, only for it to be called ugly because it wasn’t pink.
Olivia ignored Benedict and turned to Lucas. “Get me a car.”
Lucas was dumbfounded. “What? Do I look like a parking lot to you?”
Benjamin glanced at him, his meaning clear.
Lucas sighed in resignation. “Fine, follow me, your highness. I’ll find you a car. A pink one, no less.”
Where the hell am I supposed to find a pink car? he thought bitterly as he led Olivia to the parking area to search.
