Olivia recalled the big shot who had given her an award that day and asked for her number in front of everyone. Now, she understood why Hudson was so partial to her. She had to admit the way Hudson and Asher handled things was strikingly similar. They were both so straightforward about asking for her number.
Lucas watched Olivia and Hudson chatting away happily, grinding his teeth in frustration. He was here to help Benjamin, yet before Benjamin could even exchange a few words with Olivia, Hudson had gotten her number? This place was no good to linger in!
After Olivia got the keys, Lucas planned to drag her away. He couldn’t let Hudson steal Benjamin’s thunder right in front of him!
“Where’s the betting area here?” Olivia asked.
“You want to place a bet too?” Lucas wondered.
Olivia nodded.
Alice watched Olivia and Lucas speaking to each other curiously.
“If Ms. Carter’s interested, let’s go together,” Hudson suggested.
He then led everyone to the betting area, where he also bumped into Benjamin and Benedict.
When Benjamin saw that Olivia had arrived with Hudson, a trace of surprise flashed across his usually distant expression.
The betting area displayed the names of all the racers. Olivia had just signed up, so her name was there too. However, no one paid attention to her name. Everyone placed their bets on Hudson and Benjamin instead. It was a face–off between the two legends. Everyone else in the race was just a sideshow.
Olivia looked at the names and turned to Lucas. “Do you have cash?”
Lucas paused before pulling out a wad of cash from his wallet.
Olivia said, “Lend it to me first. I’ll pay you back when I win.”
“What?” Lucas responded.
“If Ms. Carter needs it, I also have some cash, Hudson said with a smile, handing her another wad of cash from his wallet.
Benjamin frowned slightly but silently shoved his wallet into Olivia’s hands.
Olivia was shocked to see so many generous people around her.
Benedict, who had tagged along with Benjamin, was bewildered by how both Hudson and Benjamin were offering money to please Olivia. In his eyes, Olivia was just an ordinary girl, someone you wouldn’t give a second glance to in a crowd. Despite this, she managed to draw the attention of the racing legends… Was he imagining a rivalry heating up between them?

Before Olivia even placed her bet, Alice nearly got into a fight with Lucas. Both were determined to defend the honor of their respective racing legend.
Accepting the cash pooled by the three of them, Olivia looked at the names of the racers on the betting board and slowly placed the money down on one of the names. At that moment, both Hudson and Benjamin focused their gaze on Olivia’s hand..
The race hadn’t even started, but the legends‘ rivalry was already in full swing.
Under their watchful eyes, Olivia placed the thick pile of money on the nameplate with ‘Olivia Carter‘ written on it.
