Vance was lounging in the living room when he saw Alexander come downstairs, sporting noticeable dark circles under his eyes.
Just as Vance was about to greet him, his gaze landed on the fresh scratch marks on Alexander’s neck.
Vance sucked in a sharp breath.
Wow, that must’ve been intense.
Without saying a word, Alexander left. A while later, a clearly irritated Olivia stormed down the stairs. The moment she spotted Vance, she marched over and grabbed him by the neck.
“Can you think things through next time?” She snapped.
Vance’s face turned red as he struggled under her grip. I’m gonna die! Let me go!”
Rolling her eyes, Olivia released him. If murder were legal, even ten lives wouldn’t be enough for this idiot.
Rubbing his sore neck, Vance cautiously looked at Olivia, Wait. Did something go wrong? Maybe my brother didn’t deliver?
“I really gave it my all! You can’t take it out on me just because my brother didn’t satisfy you!” Vance protested, looking aggrieved.
What does he think my brain is filled with? Olivia thought, thoroughly exasperated. She had no patience for his nonsense and stormed off in a huff
Still feeling wronged, Vance headed upstairs. As he passed Olivia and Alexander’s room, his eyes wandered.

No way. Did they really take things that far?
Did they even use rope?! Does my brother have some kind of special hobby?
Meanwhile, Olivia’s mind was plagued by the mortifying events of the previous night. When she arrived at school, she immediately collapsed onto her desk, wishing she could erase the memory entirely.
This is so embarrassing!
With only a few morning classes, Olivia spent most of her time slumped over her desk pretending to be dead. Isabella was still absent due to her injured hand, and though Mia glanced at Olivia as if she wanted to speak, she eventually remained silent and stayed in her seat.
Sleep–deprived and emotionally drained, Olivia dozed off without realizing it.
“Olivia, wake up!”
A familiar voice broke through her half–conscious state. She groggily lifted her head to see Lucas sitting in the seat in front of her, leaning over her desk with a gr.

“I heard from Mr. Benjamin that you’re in this class, so came to find you,” Lucas said, smiling brightly.
“Oh.” Olivia’s body ached all over, and she lay sprawled across her desk, too tired to care.
Lucas’s presence in the performing arts class stirred quite a bit of chatter.
Handsome, wealthy, and well–known, Lucas was one of the elite figures at St. Rona Academy. Though not as prominent as Benjamin, he was still a top–tier sociale. His approachable demeanor, even made him more popular with girls than the aloof and distant Berjamin.
Nobody expected someone like Lucas to show up looking for Olivia, sparking a flurry of whispers among the students.
Noticing that Olivia was about to fall asleep again, Lucas quickly said, “Hey, don’t sleep yet! I brought fresh, juicy gossip for you. Don’t you want to know about the chain reaction caused by your legendary performance last night?”
Olivia opened one lazy eye. “What are you talking about?”
She was too exhausted to deal with him. Someone, anyone–please drag this fool away.
Lucas leaned in closer. “You remember how Benedict got taken away last night? Well, the Moore family found out about it right away. They tried to suppress the news, but since Benedict was dumb enough to call a bunch of reporters himself, they couldn’t stop the story in time.”
“This morning, every news outlet and magazine ran headlines about Benedict’s suspected possession of illegal dr gs.”
