Chapter 5
When I woke up, I had no idea how much time had passed.
Groggily opening my eyes, the first thing I saw was a ridiculously handsome face up close.
I recognized him–he was the male model I flirted with and kissed last night.
The memory hit me like a freight train, and I could hardly face myself. What kind of
know. shameless woman was I, kissing him and then dragging him to bed for well, you
Lifting the blanket, I tried to sneak away, planning to find him some modeling gigs later to make up for it.
But before I could make a move, his arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me back
The r
male model leaned his chin on my shoulder, his voice tinged with mock grievance.
“You ate me up and left nothing behind, and now you’re trying to run away? That’s irresponsible.”
“Last night was my first time, you know. You can’t just abandon me after this.”
“I won’t allow it!”
I nearly lost my mind. What on earth had I gotten myself into?
To make amends, I got dressed and took Edwin Martin–my “male model victim“-shopping.
I bought him clothes, shoes, luxury goods.. anything he wanted. He was obedient, doing whatever I told him to.
By the end of the spree, it felt like our roles had reversed.
He even pulled me into a women’s boutique, picked out a few casual outfits for me, and insisted I try them on.

When I tried to leave, he stopped me.
“You drank way too much last night,” he said in his clear, intimate voice. “You even threw up. . You’re still wearing my old clothes.”
“Besides, you bought me so many things. What’s wrong with me getting a couple of things for you?”
I wanted to argue that I could change into my own clothes at home, but he wouldn’t hear of
And that’s where the tables truly turned.
He seemed determined to style me. Dresses, elegant professional wear–he picked out things I’d never even considered trying before.
When we’d bought so much that we couldn’t carry it all, he casually said,
“Sophia, let’s head home first and drop off the bags.”
On the way, we passed an ice cream shop. Edwin wanted one, so I got it for him, but I accidentally spilled some onto his clothes.
He didn’t get upset. Instead, he gave me a meaningful look and said,
“If you want to see my abs, we can just go home. There’s no need to ‘accidentally spill ice
cream.”
The emphasis on “accidentally” made my face burn red.
But it really wasn’t on purpose!
We spent almost the entire day out, and by the time we returned to Edwin’s place, it was getting dark.
I wanted to hurry him into the shower, but then we hit a snag: his apartment had an electrical issue.
After some hesitation, I offered, “Why don’t we go to my place?”
Chapter 5
Edwin smiled. “Sure.”
He agreed so quickly that it made me feel uneasy.
His apartment wasn’t far from mine, so we arrived in about 30 minutes.
Normally, at this hour, Benjamin wouldn’t be home yet. But as soon as I opened the door, I saw the lights were on.
Ansid
side, everything seemed calm, but as I walked further in, I heard noises coming from the
bedroom.
A terrible premonition gripped me.
I strode forward and pushed open the door.
There, on the bed that Benjamin and I had shared countless nights, was someone who had no business being there.
Zara was in Benjamin’s arms.
The two of them turned at the sound of the door.
Benjamin froze, shoving Zara away in panic and hurriedly trying to explain:
“The power went out at the office, and she’s afraid of the dark. I brought her home–don’t overthink it.”
Behind me, Edwin leaned in close and whispered, “Baby…”
I laughed coldly. “Go ahead and comfort her. My *baby* had a power outage at his place, so I brought him here for a shower. Don’t overthink it.”
Benjamin’s face turned black.
I couldn’t be bothered to look at him anymore. In front of him, I grabb pajamas from his drawer and handed them to Edwin.
“Go use the guest bathroom. I’ll take you home afterward.”

Then, I opened a drawer and started packing my important documents into my bag.
Looking back at Benjamin, I pointed at the nightstand.
“There are condoms in there. Have fun, but don’t forget protection–you don’t want to catch
anything.”
*Sophia!”
ck at work, everyone seemed to know that Benjamin and I had broken up.
A line had been drawn between us, and the office atmosphere felt stifling.
Benjamin would often call me into his office to talk about irrelevant things.
“Sophia, about what happened yesterday, it’s not what you think.”
I nodded. “If it’s unrelated to work, please stop wasting my time.”
Zara, who was always nearby, would whimper, “Mr. Smith…” in a pitiful voice.
And Benjamin would turn to her,
is onze soft and reassuring.
Was this all for show? Did he think I was blind?
Frustrated, I slammed the door on my way out.
Around noon, my assistant brought Edwin to see me.
He was carrying a lunch box, smiling shyly as he handed it over.
“I heard you haven’t been eating well lately, so I made you something. I hope you like it.”
“I’ve also been experimenting with a couple of new dishes. If you’re free tonight, you can come over and try them.”
Opening the box, I found three dishes and a soup.
The food was delicious–exactly the flavors I liked. Without realizing it, I ate a lot.
Chapter
Ever since discovering Benjamin’s affair, I hadn’t been eating properly.
“Thank you, it’s really good.”
Hearing my praise, Edwin’s smile grew even brighter.
Looking at his handsome face, I couldn’t help but eat more. Maybe there was some truth to the saying that food and beauty go hand in hand.
Dufortunately, I wouldn’t have the chance to try his new dishes tonight.
I had a family dinner with the Smiths.
When I suggested driving myself, Benjamin flatly refused.
“If I have a drink, who’s going to drive the other car home?”
I wanted to suggest letting the chauffeur handle it, but seeing his firm expression, I dropped
- it. In the end, the second car stayed in the garage.
