Chapter 6
Alex lost his job and didn’t even think I would actually abandon him.
Every day, he’d be waiting outside my door as soon as I opened my eyes. I told the security
pt to let him in, but he just waited at the community entrance instead.
Alex: “Ophelia, are you done yet?”
Alex: “I’ve lost my job because of you, shouldn’t that be enough for you?”
I stared at him like he was crazy–shameless.
But he thought I was just playing some childish game, like a petty domestic quarrel.
Alex: “Alright, fine, I won’t blame you. Let it out, but stop this already.”
I rolled my eyes and left him with a cloud of exhaust from my car.
Alex: “Ophelia! Don’t go too far-!”
His rage was swept away by the autumn wind, disappearing silently down the street.
The video from outside the kindergarten gate was uploaded online and quickly gained attention.
– “Mistress Habitual Offender”
“Kindergarten Principal Cheating with Teacher”
“Teacher with Multiple Lovers”
“Man Living Off Women Cheats to Support Mistress”
I wasn’t satisfied with the situation–Emily was despicable, but why was Alex staying hidden in the shadows?

I immediately spent money to boost Alex’s name in search results, aiming for one attention on the pairing
Soon, people started finding out Alex and Emily’s identities.
Comment: “The guy is Alex, a gold digger who cheated on his girlfriend to support a mistress. He even tried to extort money from a girl two days ago. What a jerk The woman is a teacher at the kindergarten, and she has several lovers. She’s also been hooking up with the principal.”
I confirmed the information, adding that the teacher was irresponsible in class. She was very lazy, always prioritizing snacks for the little boys, while giving the little girl food only if they praised her.
Post: “Look at her Instagram!”
I clicked on the image. It was Emily’s Instagram, very clever–she only posted pictures of two cakes, two drinks, and intertwined hands, never showing a man’s face clearly.
Subtle show–offs of her romance, sometimes posting sad topics, like “Some people never make it to the end. Maybe if I’m good enough, you won’t leave me.”
She had blocked me, of course.
The only post I could still see was a photo of her with Alex.
Post Caption: “Some love is one–of–a–kind, my father–figure boyfriend.”
How delusional.
If she loved being treated like a “daddy’s girl” so much, why not just go work in a nursing home as a caregiver?
The video gained more and more views, so I spent more money to increase the traffic.
Me (thinking): “Alex, you’ll really go down in history with this.”
Eventually, the kindergarten couldn’t handle the continuous complaints from parents and had to compromise. They gave Alex a suspension, but I couldn’t help but wonder if he was planning to get Emily back after some time.
Chapter 6
Helen vented to me, as she was the mom who had her snacks stolen by Emily. She had been feeding me updates for the past few days.
Helen: “Mark should really take a lesson from this. He’s so invested in this guy who’s constantly seeking father figures. Do you know his wife came to stir up trouble yesterday?”
Me: “No, what happened?“.
Helen: “He secretly spent tens of thousands on Emily–gave her extra salary and bonuses very month, bought her bags and clothes, transferred money, even paid her rent. What wife would tolerate that?”
None.
