Chapter 15
“Mr. Phillips, your dad had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital, and your mom’s heart condition has relapsed. She’s been hospitalized as well. You need to come back and
check on them!”
Ruben immediately panicked, hung up the phone, and rushed to the hospital.
I cursed him inwardly.
“Ruben’s not a decent person! He deserves it!”
In one night, the Phillips family underwent a complete upheaval.
The chairman of Phillips and his wife were both hospitalized, their stocks plummeted, and the company faced a severe internal crisis, on the brink of bankruptcy.

Guests in the audience lowered their heads to scroll through their phones, quietly
discussing:
“Ahhh, my little couple just got their marriage license! So sweet!”
“Ahhh, they’ll be together forever!TM
“They’re so sweet! I’m going to repost this on Instagram!”
Ruben, confused, glanced at the audience, then called his assistant over.
“What’s going on?”
His assistant stammered.
“Speak!”
