Chapter 99
Chapter 99
“Okay.” Samuel took the bowl from him. “I’ll send it to Grandpa.”
All the servants walked away.
Tomas put the newspaper aside and looked up the moment he heard the footsteps.
The thought of something important stopped Samuel’s pace.
He looked back with a hint of gloating in his eyes. “Grandpa, don’t forget that the Frank family is as powerful as ours. Do you think they will
“Accept a divorced woman?”
Stunned by his words, Tomas thought he had an illusion.
In the blink of an eye, Samuel wore a frosty face again.
“True love is great. Besides, Liz’s excellent. Why doesn’t she deserve that Henry Frank?”
Samuel left in a huff, tired of discussing it with Tomas. He thought Tomas was daydreaming.
As soon as Samuel left, Tomas drank up the medicine in one gulp. Stuart served the prepared snacks on the table. “Mr. York, does the medicine work?”
“Sure. When have I ever lied?”
Stuart didn’t say anything.
“No matter how you like Liz, I believe she’s not frivolous and unreliable. A person’s character could be seen when he was a child.” Tomas took a sip of tea. He looked satisfied at the thought of something pleasing. “She used to be quiet, but I can tell that she’s smart enough to hide her light under a bushel. Otherwise, how could she survive in the family?”
More importantly, she could endure the humiliation. Tomas believed that she would definitely become a big shot.
She must have forced herself to leave here four years ago.
Stuart had a rough idea of what Tomas was thinking about, but he was not sure if Tomas was right. At least Elizabeth was more charming than before.
“I’ve put in a lot of effort to cultivate her to become my granddaughter–in–law. How could I give up on her?”
“But…” Stuart deliberated his choice of words. “Samuel doesn’t like Miss Jones, never.”
“He’ll like her. No man doesn’t like beautiful women, especially those with interesting souls.”
“Even so, Miss Jones doesn’t want to marry Samuel either. I don’t think she likes Samuel.”
“How could it be possible?” Tomas said with certainty, “Liz has had a crush on Samuel for many years. She won’t give up so easily.”
Stuart nodded, not daring to refute Tomas.
Elizabeth was the first one to arrive at the filming scene due to the notice from the assistant director. In order to save money, she ran for an hour before taking a taxi to the set. Therefore, it only cost her several bucks.
The makeup artist finished her makeup instead of giving her a hard time today because of her early arrival. When Elizabeth was

ready for shooting, Celia arrived with the company of Nancy and several assistants. In fact, Elizabeth had been waiting for a long
time.
Celia saw Elizabeth squatting under a tree and reciting her lines. Elizabeth looked like a fool with ugly makeup.
Celia couldn’t understand why Kelvin appreciated Elizabeth.
Feeling as if her heart had been pricked by a thorn, Celia made an eye gesture to Nancy.
Nancy got her immediately, took a picture of Elizabeth, and accompanied Celia to get changed in her exclusive dressing room.
Celia sent the photo to Samuel in the dressing room.
“Sam, what a pity for Liz to play a fool! Why don’t you pull your strings and arrange a better role for her?”
Samuel saw the photo as soon as he was about to enter his office after the morning meeting. He was disgusted by Elizabeth’s ugly appearance. If he had received the photo from Elizabeth, he would have thought that she was deliberately repelling him.
Curious about Samuel’s twitching face, Leo leaned over to take a look, which almost scared her to death.
Back in the office, Samuel managed to bring himself back from shock for a while. “Don’t worry about her. She’s suitable for this role,” he replied.
Such a disgusting character was a perfect match for Elizabeth.
It turned out that she played such an ugly role.
He couldn’t help gloating at the thought of it.
Leo, who was ready to report on his work, was shocked to see that the corners of Samuel’s lips bent up a little.
He didn’t recognize the woman in the photo at all, so he was wondering who it was to make fun of Samuel.
“The director praised Liz’s acting. Since she hasn’t signed a working contract with any company, why don’t you let her work for you? Otherwise, she’d have a vague future. It’s not enough to act well, you know.”
Celía seemed worried about Elizabeth’s future career.
Lost in thought, Samuel put his phone aside, unwilling to talk more about it.
He had never missed any of her messages. He did not know when he started to feel impatient with talking to her.
Celia had already put on makeup, and Nancy was picking out clothes for her.
Celia waited for Samuel’s reply nervously in front of the makeup mirror. In fact, she was afraid to receive Samuel’s positive answer.
She was risking.
However, Samuel did not reply to her message, which made her more worried.
It was the first time that he didn’t reply to her message.
