Chapter 146
Chapter 146
Celia couldn’t stand to watch Elizabeth go into Samuel’s life again and again.
“Linda’s popularity is exaggerated. How can she compare with you, Celia? In terms of the family background alone, you are several times better than her.”
Celia smiled proudly. “But some people always overestimate themselves. Actually, they are good for nothing. She can’t become a real princess even with a crown.”
“You’re right. She brought this upon herself.”
Celia did not take it lightly. “Are you sure the evidence has been obliterated? You must
make sure that we won’t get involved.”
“Don’t worry, Celia. I’m sure. After all, we didn’t intervene in it directly.”
“That’s good.” Celia couldn’t help yawning and then she covered her mouth. “Well, go to bed now. Let’s visit the so–called supermodel at the hospital tomorrow. What a poor
woman!”
Nancy didn’t say anything else but to tell her to have a good rest.
“I can finally have a good sleep tonight,” Celia thought.
Samuel couldn’t come up with an appropriate solution after staying at the hospital for a whole night. It could be covered forever because Linda’s company, together with the
paparazzi, would know it sooner or later.
It was in the morning. Elizabeth slept on the chair in the corridor of the hospital for fear that Samuel would be stupid enough to compensate Linda with the money.
When Samuel opened the ward’s door, he saw her sleeping in the chair with her head tilted and her arms tightly wrapped around her body. The bright light shone on her fair
face, making her look delicate and pale.
Only when she was asleep did she act like a normal woman. It would evoke his urge to
protect her.
Leo followed suit but didn’t dare to say anything when seeing Elizabeth. “Mr. York, shall we go back to the company or continue to wait for Linda to wake up?”
“When will she wake up?”

“Perhaps this morning.”
“Go to the company. Elizabeth will wait here.”
“Since when did you trust Elizabeth so much?” Leo thought.
Nelson arrived at the hospital when Samuel was about to leave. He had just finished his night shift and was about to hang out. All he saw was Elizabeth sleeping in the corridor.
“Did you leave the hospital, Sam?” Nelson stepped out of the elevator.
“Yes.
“Take care of it.”
“You’re questioning my capability?”
Nelson regretted what he had just said. He couldn’t believe that he was so nosy even though he had promised not to
meddle in it.
But it was a loss of 85 million dollars!
If Grandpa Tomas knew it, he would probably slap Samuel.
Samuel hung up the phone. Nelson shrugged. “Why do I have to be so worried?
What the hell was going on?” he thought.
Samuel received a call from Celia as soon as he got in the car.
“Sam, I heard that something happened to Linda.”
“Yes.”
“What’s going on? How come it happened just before she started filming Could it be…”
Celia had intended to say that it might be Linda’s own problem, but she did not dare to
that out loud.
say
“No, it’s our problem.”
“Is she alright?”
“Not really. I’m afraid her legs are disabled.”
“What?” Scared out of her wits, Celia paused for a moment before saying. “Then you’ll have to find a new spokesperson, won’t you? I can’t believe it! It took you a lot of effort to sign the contract with Linda.”

“I’m going to the company, Celia. Let’s talk about it later.”
“I’m already on my way to the hospital. Sam, can you wait for me for a while if you’re not in a hurry?”
Samuel raised his arm and checked the time. “Okay.”
Celia looked at the phone that had been hung up with a sullen face.
“Why is he always unwilling to tell me anything? Is he going to hide it from me forever if I didn’t ask just now?
When Elizabeth woke up, she saw Celia coming over, arm in arm with Samuel.
Yawning, she muttered unhappily, “Can you stop showing off their love so early in the morning? Linda is still in the ICU. Can’t you just consider her feeling and keep a low
profile?”
She wished that Celia and Samuel took her as air. After all, she stayed here just for 85
million dollars instead of watching them show off.
Therefore, she ran to the ward when Celia and Samuel approached her.
Celia sneered in her heart when she saw Elizabeth rushing away. “Elizabeth, are you
scared of me? Or can’t you stand to see that I’m close to Sam?” she thought.
In fact, that was exactly what she wanted.
In front of Samuel, Celia pretended the weak and sensible woman she used to be.
“Is that Elizabeth, Sam?”
“Yes.
“What is she doing here?” She acted surprised. “Does she know Linda’s accident?”
“Yes.”
Celia was almost driven crazy by Samuel’s answer. “Did you have nothing else to say to
me except for ‘yes‘?” she thought.
“How sweet she is! She must know that you’ll be involved in the accident,” Celia said
jealously.
Samuel patted her on the shoulder softly. “I didn’t tell her. Don’t you think she’s totally different from the one she used to be four years ago? She’s odd sometimes.”
