Chapter 8
Just like that, Elizabeth was taken away by Grandpa Tomas.
Elizabeth was fine with it since she never enjoyed being in the spotlight and thought Grandpa Tomas was protecting
her.
As the saying went, the outstanding usually bore the brunt of the attack. She knew Celia wouldn’t let her go since she had won the spotlight from Celia with her breathtaking appearance.
Elizabeth did not expect that Grahtipa Tomas would take her directly to Samuel’s car, and at this time, Samuel had already opened the co–pilot’s door for Celia.
“Grandpa,” Elizabeth wanted to get away.
Grandpa Tomas knew her thoughts and sensed her wish to walk away. He hurriedly pulled her back with one hand and comforted her, “Don’t worry. I’m here. Sam doesn’t dare to bully you.”
Elizabeth rolled her eyes. She knew clearly that Sam wished to kill her, let alone bully her.
Grandpa Tomas ordered in a masterful tone, “Liz has nowhere to live tonight. Let her live in the same place
where she used to live. Treat her well.”
Hearing this, for an instant, Elizabeth was down in the dumps. When she would like to say something, Samuel spoke to Grandpa Tomas, “Grandpa, L…”
“Sam, the four–year agreement hasn’t come to an end yet.”
Samuel fixed his fierce gaze on Elizabeth, grimacing in disgust and wishing to kill her.
In Samuel’s book, Elizabeth should ask his grandpa to force him again.
At this moment, rage ran red through Celia’s brain, and she was more than livid
She was thrashed and embarrassed today.
Celia had always lived in splendid isolation and never said uncle. She never expected to lose to Elizabeth by a landslide.
From where Celia stood, before they left, Grandpa Tomas forced Elizabeth to sit with them in the same car, wanting to destroy her relationship with Samuel.
Just like this, Elizabeth was arranged by Grandpa Tomas to sit in Samuel’s car. She felt it was rather embarrassing for them to sit in the same car, and she even felt out of place when taking a breath.
Fortunately, Samuel drove the car himself, and Celia sat in the co–pilot. She could sit in the back and watch the scenery through the window at will. Elizabeth comforted herself that she could just ignore them.

She hadn’t come back for four years. It was time to appreciate the night scenery of Los Angeles.
“Hmm,” Celia snorted uncomfortably.
Hearing this, Samuel who was driving asked nervously, “What’s wrong, Celia?”
Celia replied in a delicate tone, “Maybe I drank more than I could bear at the banquet. Actually, I’m not feeling well recently, and I can’t drink anything cold.”
“Do you need to see the doctor? You have a weak stomach. You shouldn’t drink just now.”
“But, Sam, I’m really happy for your grandpa’s 80th birthday. I don’t want to embarrass you by not drinking.” Celia explained in a considerate manner.
“Oh, Celia, you’re such a good girl and think of others in everything.” Samuel freed up a hand to hold Celia’s hand and said, “There is a hospital nearby, and Nelson happens to be working there. I’ll take you there.”
Celia responded obediently, “Okay.”
Celia took this opportunity to rest her head on Samuel’s shoulder.
Elizabeth curled her lips with shock. She wondered whether Samuel and Celia had ever thought about their own safety when making out since Samuel was still driving.
Just as an old saying went, no good end would come to displaying affection.
Samuel glanced at Elizabeth from the rear view mirror, and when he realized what she was doing, he snapped at her, “Elizabeth, what are you doing?”
At his words, Elizabeth trembled. She quickly put away her phone, pursed her lips in embarrassment, and said. “Just take some photos of the scenery.”
Elizabeth didn’t lie. It was indeed a scene for her to see a nasty jerk make out with a floozy.
Samuel thought he misread Elizabeth’s expression just now since she wasn’t angry at all when seeing he showed care about Celia, which came as something of a surprise to him.
In the past, Elizabeth would have doubted and questioned him whenever he said a word to any woman. He was quite curious about her calmness.
Elizabeth was indeed calm.
All of a sudden, Samuel was somewhat not used to her change.
“Los Angeles has changed a lot over the past four years, Elizabeth looked out of the car window, deliberately shifting Samuel’s focus.
Samuel didn’t bother to talk to her at all.
In his eyes, Elizabeth was acting to be calm.

Seeing the disgust flashing in Samuel’s eyes, Cella raised the corners of her mouth triumphantly and said as if showing off on purpose, “Sam, though I really appreciate it, please don’t come to see me on set every day if you’re occupied with work.”
“You don’t like it?”
“I just don’t want you to be exhausted.”
Hearing their conversation, Elizabeth rolled her eyes speechlessly and felt sick.
“By the way, Liz, I remember you also went to the USC School of Cinematic Arts before. Would you like to go to the set with me tomorrow to look around? Maybe you can play the supporting role,” Celia suddenly changed the topic to Elizabeth.
