A person could be seen clearly at a critical moment. Elizabeth’s mouth twisted into a wry smile with sarcasm.
Slowly opening her eyes, Elizabeth glanced around. All the doctors and nurses were in a hurry to save the injured while she was placed in a dark corner. No wonder those people failed to note her.
Elizabeth got up from the stretcher with difficulty and tried to walk. She could still walk.
She was in a temporary coma just now and wouldn’t die for the moment. Fortunately, she protected her head soon after the car accident. But she hit on the car door since she was angry at that time and failed to focus on holding onto
it tightly.
If it wasn’t for fortune favoring her this time, she would have died because of Samuel’s decision.
She scolded Samuel silently, “What a bas“ard!”
“You are you Elizabeth?”
A handsome man suddenly appeared in front of Elizabeth. She found him familiar to her and kept thinking about who he was. Not long after, she recognized the man.
The man was wearing a white coat and doctor’s gloves. It could be told that he just came out from the operation.
Nelson was a friend of Samuel, a bastard as well.
“It’s you, Elizabeth! Oh my, why have you become like this…” Nelson looked at her in surprise, his face full of disbelief.
Though occupied with work tonight, he heard about what happened to the Yorks.
Elizabeth walked past him indifferently, her voice cold, “Not me. You’ve got the wrong person.”
Nelson went out anything.
Nelson felt Elizabeth changed a lot and was even feisty after she became prettier.
In the past, Elizabeth walked with her head down and habitually covered her face with her hair. She was so humble that caught nobody’s attention. Even Nelson seldom saw her face. Sure thing, he didn’t care about her too much since he thought she was just a homely woman and showed no interest in her at all.
At the corner around the end of the corridor, Elizabeth heard Nelson yell, “Sam, guess what! I saw Elizabeth just
now.”
Hearing Samuel’s name, Elizabeth stopped in her tracks since a fresh swell of rage rose in her. She was on the warpath.
Samuel glanced at the empty stretcher with cold eyes. He guessed Elizabeth was fine and then left.

“Is she not dead yet?”
Nelson smacked his lips and felt Samuel was beyond the pale. After all, Elizabeth was Samuel’s wife.
“I knew she was acting!” Samuel’s apathetic voice coughed out the words.
Elizabeth met the remark with a scowl and smoldered with resentment. She snarled silently, “Samuel York, I hoped you died in a gutter.”
“Samuel!” Elizabeth failed to bite back the anger and stand Samuel’s malicious words anymore. She spat out like an insult, “You shall be dead and go to hell!”

While glowering at Samuel with her fierce eyes, Elizabeth walked towards him and snapped at him, “Samuel, you yellow dog! You and I are at daggers drawn!”
What made her go bananas was not his choice to save Cella at the most critical moment, but his wish for her death when she was still alive.
After yelling at Samuel, Elizabeth turned around in a feisty way and was about to leave. However, all of a sudden, her brain got dizzy. She lost control of herself and started to fall back weakly. Almost out of instinct, Samuel extended his hands to catch her.
Both of them were floored. Now they were leaning against each other in a quite intimate manner and even staring
at each other.
Even Nelson on the side was stunned and thought it a bit out of expectation.

“Damn it!” Samuel cursed and came to his senses later. He pushed Elizabeth away from his arms to Nelson with disgust and shouted, “You are a doctor!”
Elizabeth didn’t pass out and was just a little dizzy. Though she would like to snarl at Samuel to explain that she didn’t mean to fall in his arms, the weakness choked her words.
She knew that conceited as Samuel was, he misunderstood her again.
Nelson was forced to take care of Elizabeth. As a doctor, he reacted quickly and hurriedly called a nurse and ordered, “Hurry up, send her to the emergency room.”
Not long after, Grandpa Tomas rushed to the hospital with the support of Samuel’s father, James York and Samuel’s Uncle Jack, Jack York.
“Grandpa,” Samuel stepped forward and greeted them, “Father, Uncle Jack”
Grandpa Tomas glanced at the closed door of the emergency room, and asked anxiously, “How is Liz?”
Samuel snorted coldly and answered, “She won’t die.”
“Well, Sam, no matter how much you hate Liz, she is still a member of the Yorks.”

“And she is surnamed Jones!” Samuel reminded.
“She married you and is your wife. She is a member of the Yorks”
Samuel took a deep breath and then talked back, “She won’t be soon.”
Although Samuel’s father, James, didn’t like Elizabeth, he wouldn’t tolerate Samuel talking back to Grandpa Tomas
since today was his father’s birthday and he had always been filial. Therefore, he scolded, “Sam, don’t talk to your grandpa like this.”
