Chapter 13
“Well, I’ll leave you here. I still have business to attend to…”
Nelson was out like stout.
The atmosphere cr*ckled with tension. Samuel came up directly after seeing off Grandpa Tomas. He personally took care of the injured Celia in the intensive care ward upstairs. He wanted to warn Elizabeth in advance in case she would make a move on him. However, he didn’t expect to hear their conversation.
From his perspective, Elizabeth sowed her wild oats soon after she became pretty.
“Elizabeth.” Samuel couldn’t help but grit his teeth whenever he spoke her name.
He stepped forward and pinched Elizabeth’s chin, and looked at her with cold eyes. She was blessed with an attractive and enchanting face and that made men fall for her even without makeup.
Unfortunately, he was an exception and remained indifferent to her.
“Don’t think you can make me like you just because you become pretty. Elizabeth, let me tell you..”
“Scr*w
*w you, Samuel!” Though light–headed, Elizabeth couldn’t bear Samuel’s self–righteousness anymore. A cold light glittered in her eyes. She gave a contemptuous curl of the lips, rendering her immensely alluring. I mean, can’t you access yourself properly? Mr. narcissist. I really want to know what made you figure that I would be obsessed with you for four years. Guess what? When I came back, to my surprise, you remained to be narcissistic as you were before. I cross my heart. I will never pay attention to you even if all the other men die, and you’re the pathetic man left in the world.”
“Listen up! I don’t mind that you and Celia get married or have a baby. It’s none of my business. Could you hear me? I don’t even care when this unholy alliance was joined. I’m back this time for Grandpa Tomas‘ 80th birthday and to see him. That’s all. Nothing else.”
For a moment, the air half frozen in Samuel’s mouth.
He found it hard to swallow Elizabeth’s words and her huge changes.
And Elizabeth’s words were an insult to him..
Samuel had been looked up to and chased by women since he was born. The most outstanding example would be Elizabeth.
But what she told him just now was totally the opposite side of fascination.
He wondered whether she was boxed out of her mind.
She dared to say that she wouldn’t pay attention to him even though all the other men died. In his eyes, she kept asking his grandpa to urge him repeatedly. He found her words interesting since he couldn’t figure out why she did so if she didn’t like

him. Obviously, he didn’t believe the slightest meaning of her words.
Therefore, he drew the conclusion that Elizabeth was way more sophisticated over the four years.
“Playing hard to get?” Samuel sneered, his tongue mocking and bitter, “I’m telling you, Elizabeth, it’s useless.”
Elizabeth supported her forehead. She didn’t want to waste any more time talking with him.
“Tell me, how did you remove the birthmark on your face?”
Hearing this, Elizabeth murmured inside, “What a c*ckalorum. Why did you believe that I would tell you?”
Elizabeth wished to knock this shameless man unconscious. She just wanted to have a good rest.
“Samuel, you have a thing about me, haven’t you? You know, I couldn’t figure out why, all of a sudden, you became so anxious to know how I remove the birthmark” Elizabeth made a rather charming gesture, covering her stunning face, “It looks like I’m right. Are you really fascinated by my face?”
Samuel choked on her words, his eyes full of disgust.
From his perspective, he just talked a few more words with her, and sure enough, she started to dream wildly and said he liked her.
Samuel snorted coldly and left.
He knew Elizabeth couldn’t behave herself.
Though four years passed, he thought she was still that woman even if ten years passed since Elizabeth was raised up by the Yorks
Samuel knew her well.
Finally, quietness descended on the room. Elizabeth lay down exhausted. Samuel wouldn’t leave until she provoked
him.
In the intensive care unit, Celia also woke up. She was in severe pain. What was worse, she could not move her neck.
“Is what Nancy said trues, helped Celia wipe away the tears from her face with distress.
“Probably not.” Though Celia couldn’t move her neck and was uncomfortable, to be more intimate with Samuel, she bit back the pain and hugged him. She left her own condition behind. “Sam, Liz is not that kind of person. I still have faith in her personality.”
“Hmph, personality!” Samuel snorted coldly, “What kind of
r can a woman like her have? Don’t worry,
Celia, I won’t let you be wronged on this matter. I’ll call and help you deal with it immediately. I’ll see who dares to gossip and spread the rumor.”
Celia was moved to tears in his arms and hugged Samuel tightly. “Samuel, it’s so great to have you. But I’m afraid that Liz would not be happy if you do this.”

Mentioning Liz made Samuel get angry, “How dare she! Why would she be unhappy about this? Besides, you don’t have to care whether she is happy or not.”
