Chapter 14
Celia curled her lips calmly and was satisfied with Samuel’s reaction. Just now, she told Nancy that she was worried Samuel would start to like Elizabeth since Elizabeth became more beautiful. It seemed that Samuel felt sick of Elizabeth as he ever did.
Now she could be at ease.
Originally, Samuel promised her to get married in two months, and Celia was very confident about it. They had a steady relationship for the past four years. The mere thing vexed Celia was that they were seldom intimate.
Samuel was a very responsible man and wouldn’t make a move on her until their wedding night. He respected her very much. Therefore, never did they sleep together over these four years.
In fact, Celia hinted at it a few times but was rejected by Samuel.
He said, “Celia, you are a girl I cherish very much.”
After Samuel said that, it was impossible for Celia to make any hints about sexual intercourse again. She reckoned that Samuel liked conservative women.
These four years had been tough. She couldn’t be more intimate with her man when seeing him, which was hard for any normal woman to understand her suffering.
It was not that Celia couldn’t bear it. But she was supposed to hurry up and make more moves to become Mrs. York since Elizabeth was back now.
“Celia.” Samuel helped her to lie down. “Have a good rest. I will stay here with you.”
Nancy skulked off for some time, saying that she had to deal with something. She deliberately left them alone.
With Samuel by her side, Celia slept very well this time.
Cella said triumphantly in her heart, “Elizabeth, I wish you could see us at this time. Samuel couldn’t be gentle to you in the same way he did to me. Don’t ever dream about it.”
The following morning.
Elizabeth was on her way to go through all the procedures of discharging herself from the hospital on her own. Unexpectedly, she bumped into Celia,
Celia’s neck was fixed with medical equipment and her hair was tied up casually. Though in the hospital, she still dressed up
and was in a smart suit today.
“Oh, I’m flattered. I mean, Celia, you’re a hit star. And you should pay a visit to whom almost died,” Elizabeth said in

mocking way. “Why? Tell me, do you come for me because you couldn’t just sit around and do nothing except for standing it?”
Celia knew Elizabeth’s sarcasm and wished to teach her a lesson for that.
She still had to bear with it.
Celia was curious that how Elizabeth managed to remove the birthmark from her face. If memory served, she remembered that it was impossible for Elizabeth to take that birthmark off her. Moreover, she wondered what Elizabeth had gone through over these four years since she had changed a lot and became bold.
In the past, Elizabeth had a sense of inferiority whenever they met. As long as she stood in front of Elizabeth, she could over weigh Elizabeth even without any words.
But, to her surprise, Elizabeth stole the thunder last night.
Nancy, who accompanied Celia, couldn’t bear it anymore and spoke, “Elizabeth, Celia came to visit you out of kindness. Why did you reply her with sarcastic remarks?”
“Interesting. You come to visit me?” Elizabeth sneered, “I have never seen such a novel way to visit someone. Why? Are you disappointed that I didn’t die?”
“Liz, what are you talking about?” Celia took the initiative to make peace. Elizabeth took a few backward steps in time and threw an indifferent glance at them who were filled with malice.
Celia froze and said softly, “Liz, I come here to apologize to you. Sam chose to save me first under the circumstances last night. Please don’t blame him.”
Now, Elizabeth understood that Celia came to show off in front of her on purpose, and stimulated her by the way.
But she didn’t care about Samuel anymore.
Nothing about him would have anything to do with her once she stopped caring about him.
Elizabeth didn’t speak, and Cella thought she was stimulated by her words. “Liz, you know, I have always been in fragile health. And Sam… He just shows care about me!”
Elizabeth was indeed stimulated by what she said. What stimulated her was that if she hadn’t been favored by fortune last night, she would have died now.
She wondered what would happen to Ben if she died.
“Enough?” Elizabeth glanced at her indifferently, “Can you leave now?”
Celia paused as if she couldn’t believe that Elizabeth had such a reaction.
She thought Elizabeth would go ballistic and make a scene or even hit her.
Once Elizabeth went bananas and beat her, Samuel would only hate Elizabeth even more and then feel sorry for
her.

That was how she handled the relationship between Samuel and Elizabeth before. She pretended to make peace,
peace, but in fact, she was stimulating Elizabeth to drive her crazy, making Samuel hate Elizabeth even more. At this time, she would be acting more of a good girl which made Samuel feel even more sorry for her.
Nancy was also surprised by Elizabeth’s reaction. She was about to help Celia scold Elizabeth when she suddenly saw a familiar figure approaching from the mirror on the wall.
