Chapter 24
“Hmph.” Samuel quickly looked away, and pulled
ia into the car.
He didn’t intend to give Elizabeth a ride, and Celia wouldn’t ask for trouble to really take her.
Elizabeth walked out of the gate of Beverly Hills with a satchel on her back, and Samuel’s car flew by. Elizabeth seemed to have not seen it, humming and bouncing down the boulevard as if a happy college student who just
entered the school.
When Samuel’s car drove far away, he could still see Elizabeth’s figure, and his mind was full of thoughts!
When she came back four years later, Elizabeth really seemed to be a different person.
But how could his enemy’s daughter live so freely and carefree? Didn’t she know what burden she was bearing? What right did she have to be happy?
Elizabeth, you should go to hell!
As smart as Celia, she could tell Samuel’s thoughts at a glance. She tried to interrupt his emotions. “Sam, where will you take me later?”
Being disturbed by Elizabeth, Samuel was not in the mood at all. “In order to take care of you, I have postponed many important meetings these days. How about I let Chaim accompany you to go shopping and just use my card?”
“But you promised me that you would accompany me in person.” Celia refused.
“Samuel, why? Is it because of Elizabeth? Is she important enough to affect your emotions?” Celia thought.
Samuel patted the top of her head with one hand, “Sweetheart, I really have something to do.”
It meant she shouldn’t make trouble. Samuel, as the CEO of a worldwide top entertainment company, was so busy every day. If she insisted on making trouble, she was ignorant, and he didn’t like ignorant women.
He had always been a man who kept his promises, and he would do what he promised to her. Why did he seem to be a different person when Elizabeth came back? He was not like this before!
Elizabeth ate breakfast outside before going around to the crew. She had paid attention to this drama before returning to Los Angeles and knew that the crew was still recruiting actors. Currently, this drama was the hottest drama of the year, which was the most talked–about and popular female lead drama.
This drama was invested by York Entertainment Company, which was the company of Samuel’s uncle, and Celia was the heroine of this drama.
Since Elizabeth was back and wanted to work in the show biz, contact with The Yorks was definitely unavoidable.
It was just a fome supporting role, and such a small role would not let The Yorks know.
Chapter 24
The crew of “The Legend of the Heroes” was full of people who came to audition. Elizabeth was standing in the corner wearing sunglasses. From their conversations, it could be heard that they were all from majors and had performed experience before. Much more qualified than she, who was an inexperienced actress.
“Number 19!”
The crew opened the door and shouted the number. Elizabeth saw a beautiful young girl follow in.
Others waited for the result with different expressions.
After a while, a middle–aged man’s furious voice came from inside, “Have you figured out what to do today?
You’re a top student at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. I’m going to your school to ask how much money you have
bribed!”
The female artists who were waiting outside all looked terrified. They had long heard that the director of this drama was notoriously strict and had extremely high demands on female artists. They did not expect him to say something so hard.
Elizabeth shrank her neck, but she felt that the stricter, the better. Otherwise, she would not have chosen to act in
this drama.
The only thing she worried about was that someone would abuse his power here.
As expected to her worries, Elizabeth’s sharp eyes saw Celia’s agent Nancy from the crowd!
It was no coincidence that Nancy was here at this time!
Elizabeth put on her sunglasses, planning to sneak away and come in again at another time!
“That girl!” A staff suddenly shouted to Elizabeth’s back, “You, stand there!”
Elizabeth stood still with her back straight.
“It’s you. Turn around!”
Elizabeth shrugged and turned around, pointing to her nose to make sure.
“Come here. How many times have I called you?”
All eyes were on Elizabeth.
“Who is she? Why haven’t I seen her before?”
It’s funny to wear a pair of sunglasses to the audition, thinking she’s a star.”
“Yes!”
“Huh…”
Chapter 24
Elizabeth had long been used to these gossips, and she strode up to the staff. “Me?”
“Come in with me.” The staff was expressionless.
“Well,”
Anyway, she was here for an audition, so it was fine if she got the chance, as long as she could make money!
It took Elizabeth four years to understand that nothing was more important than money except Benson!
Following the staff into the door, Elizabeth’s scalp was numb from a sharp gaze. Through the sunglasses,
she saw a middle–aged man standing in front of the window with his arms folded, looking at her with contempt.
This person…
“Are you Miss Jones?” Another middle–aged man approached fawningly. “I’m Duke Ford, the assistant director of the crew of ‘The Legend of the Heroes‘.”
