Chapter 72
Chapter 72
As soon as she entered, Celia’s face darkened.
“Don’t think I’ll be grateful to you, Samuel.”
“Do you think I’m helping you, Elizabeth? Don’t flatter yourself.”
“Humph, you’re the one who’s thinking too highly of yourself!”
“Elizabeth, don’t forget that you owe me a favor before. How are you going to repay it this time?”
‘Stop talking nonsense, Samuel, I don’t owe you anything.”
“I’ll remind you!” Samuel said through gritted teeth.
This woman was so hateful that she forgot to agree to his conditions.
Although the two of them were arguing and Samuel was gritting his teeth, Celia felt as if she was watching a loving couple quarrel. There was no hostility between the two of them at all. Instead, there was a kind of enviable interest in them.
She was about to explode with jealousy.
Nancy couldn’t stand it anymore. She coughed softly and said, ‘Mr. York, Celia is here.”
Only then did Samuel see Celia at the door. She stood there weakly, holding all kinds of nutrition
supplements in her hands, and looked at him innocently.
Samuel’s heart skipped a beat. He stopped wiping Old Mr. York’s face and walked toward Celia. He took the things from her and held
her in his arms.
“I’m sorry. I was taking care of Grandpa and thought you had left.”
“How could I leave? I haven’t seen Grandpa yet.” Celia was very sensible and didn’t mention anything about
what they had done just now. “How is Grandpa? He should be fine.”
“He’s fine and you’re so considerate. You’ve worked so hard to film, but you still came to see him.”
“That’s what I should do.”
Samuel stepped forward with Celia in his arms. Elizabeth was not embarrassed and continued to wipe Old Mr. York’s face and hands.
As long as she was not embarrassed, others would be embarrassed.
She thought, “Why don’t you two be intimate? Feel free to be intimate!
“Humph!”
Old Mr. York hated Celia the most. As soon as he heard the noise, he glared at her, but he couldn’t say anything to support Elizabeth.
“We don’t need you here. Celia and I will accompany Grandpa.” Samuel asked Elizabeth to leave.
Elizabeth threw the towel into the basin and said, “Samuel, in order to avoid being framed, I have to stay here. to take care of Grandpa.”
She sounded like she was compromising.
“It’s none of your business. Celia, Grandpa has never liked you. For the sake of his health, you’d better get out of here.”
Elizabeth was in a bad mood today and wanted to vent her anger. Celia happened to be her target.
Celia looked as if she had been raped.
“Liz, you… you’ve gone too far. Grandpa is ill and I’m here to see him. What’s wrong with that? How can you bully her like this?” Celia’s eyes turned red as she sobbed. “Besides, can you still make the decision for the Yorks?”
The last sentence was the key.
Samuel’s expression could no longer be described as vicious. He looked like he was on the verge of breaking down.
Elizabeth acted as if she didn’t see anything. She sneered and said, “Grandpa, you don’t want to see Celia, do you? If I’m right, just
blink.”
Old Mr. York blinked repeatedly.
Celia was speechless.
Samuel was speechless.
“Elizabeth!” Samuel was in a bad mood.
“Oh, Grandpa needs to rest. What are you arguing about here? If you want to be intimate or quarrel, get out. I’ll take care of
Grandpa.”
To their surprise, Old Mr. York could speak at this time. He said, “You… take her… out.”
Old Mr. York’s finger pointed at the aggrieved and tearful Celia. Although his words were not very fluent, his meaning was very
clear.
Elizabeth quickly helped Old Mr. York up. ‘Grandpa, don’t be irritated. I’ve already criticized these two people. They’re too
outrageous.”
Samuel was speechless.
Celia was even more confused. “What nonsense is Elizabeth talking about?
“And how can Old Mr. York suddenly speak and drive me away? What a shame!”
“Samuel, L…”
Old Mr. York looked very uncomfortable. He looked at Celia angrily, as if she was the one who had caused him to become like this.
Samuel was afraid that Old Mr. York’s anger would harm his health, so he could only ask Celia to leave first.
*Celía, go back and have a rest first. I’ll come to you when Grandpa gets better.”
Celia looked at the man in front of her in disbelief.
In the past, no matter how much pressure Old Mr. York exerted on Samuel, he had always been on her side!
Why? Why?
Chapter 72
Celia was disheartened and took two steps back. Her eyes, which were already red, soon shed tears.
Even Elizabeth was applauding her acting skills.
Elizabeth thought, “Celia, please. What else can you use to attract men other than crying?”
“Let’s go. I’ll walk you out.”
Samuel’s tone wasn’t harsh, but there was no room for argument.
Celia’s heart felt like it was being blocked by a stone. She knew that it was useless even if she cried her eyes out. Old Mr. York was so
important to Samuel that she would be regarded as being insensible if she made a fuss about it.
