Isabelle’s voice is a matter of fact. I stare at her, aware that Heather is standing directly behind me, her arms folded across her chest and a smug expression on her face.
“No” my tone is firm.

I refuse to be intimidated by the likes of these two. Whatever they try, I’m not going to give them the satisfaction of thinking I’m afraid. They can throw whatever they want at me, I’m not going to do what they want.
Isabelle raises a brow, unfazed by my blatant disregard for her wishes. She smirks. “Regan do you really think you’re in a position to refuse?” she asks calmly, getting gracefully to her feet and staring at me steadily.
My heart skips a beat. The expression on her face..it’s frightening. She knows she has the advantage and she’s not afraid to use it. I fight to keep my composure.
“I won’t do it. You’re crazy. It’s not as though they are going to suddenly pick you now Isabelle” I pointed out.
My mates would always be loyal to me and I would always do the same. That was the strength of the love we had for one another. That was the bond that couldn’t be broken, not even by the likes of this bitch.
She laughs out loud. “You think I want them to after everything they’ve done?” her tone is incredulous as I falter in surprise.
I had thought that was what she wanted. Even Heather is laughing rudely in the background, indicating her disgust for such a thing.
“No” Isabelle’s tone is vicious “I want them to suffer, I want them to pay. You rejecting them will only weaken them further and torture them even more” she hissed, gesturing wildly, her eyes gleaming with darkness.
“You can’t make me” my voice is confident.
Whatever torture they have devised, it won’t be enough to break me. I know it’s only a matter of time until Xavier and Xander make it out of that basement thanks to Alpha Nikolas. I just have to hold on for a little bit longer.
Her eyes narrow in disbelief. “No?” she asked deliberately as I stiffened, and Heather moved closer. “Right now you’re dosed with wolfsbane which means you can’t shift to protect yourself. Add that and the fact that you’re pregnant…” she trailed off meaningfully and gave me a scathing look “I would say that you’re in a pretty vulnerable position, aren’t you?”
They were still my mates. But I couldn’t help but glance down at my stomach. The safety of my unborn child also had to be taken into consideration but how could I choose one over the other? I felt Heather press something from behind me against it. My flesh burned and I gave a small cry. Heather’s other arm locked around my throat, and I struggled. Isabelle grinned.
“You think you’re so cocky Regan, but the truth is, I don’t care if that baby inside of you survives or not,” she said raising a brow “I want my child to be the only one who has a direct link as the next Alpha of that pack.”
“Then why would I do it? It sounds as though you’re going to kill me and my child anyway” I said frostily, looking directly into her eyes.

More pain. More torture. More screams coming from me which would only satisfy the sick bastard. I could feel my body trembling despite itself and I cursed myself for being so weak, se cowardly when my mates needed me. The thought of that man laying a hand on me again was enough to make me feel like vomiting my stomach contents up.
“He can beat me until I die, I won’t betray my mates” I stated, refusing to back down.
I could withstand the pain if I had to. So long as I protected my mates. Xaver and Xander would come for me. It was just a matter of time.
“Beat you?” Heather’s voice is a low murmur in my ear. “After you screamed for him, he decided that he would rather have you in a different way. It seems your voice turns him on” she said nonchalantly as a lead weight dropped in my stomach

“He’s your mate” I growled at her, trying to push her away as Heather gave a sickening laugh and pressed the blade tighter to my stomach, causing me to make a strangled noise against the pain.
“For convenience’s sake,” she drawled, while Isabelle merely nodded, her eyes gleaming with amusement “and I have no objections to him teaching an arrogant little bitch like you a lesson.”
“You’re sick” I hissed, my stomach churning. “You call yourself a woman and yet you would do something like this to another?”
She merely laughed at the insinuation. Isabelle giggled.
Isabelle then held out her hand, her expression filled with impatience. “Give me the blade Mother,” she said, her eyes fixated
on me.
Heather hesitated for a moment and then passed over the blade. The burning sensation of my skin receded. Isabelle lightly drew the blade along her finger. The burning of the blade didn’t seem to bother her or maybe she was indifferent to it. She moved, cutting my arm as I screamed, blood beginning to drip down my arm. Heather kept her arm locked around my neck, preventing me from moving. Isabelle looked at her handiwork, a gleeful expression on her face.
“That was merely a small cut,” she said frankly as Heather dragged me to a chair and plonked me down on it, before grabbing a pair of cuffs seemingly from out of nowhere and restraining my arms behind my back. “How much pain do you think you can withstand before you die? Or is the idea of being raped by Alpha Kai much more preferable? I would think wisely if I were you Regan” she suggested brightly.
I gritted my teeth. “I won’t hurt my mates. You might not get it Isabelle, but the mate bond is sacred. I won’t willingly hurt them, not even to save myself.”
God help me for what I was about to endure though.
“What about your unborn child?” Isabelle breathed, her eyes going to my stomach, “I doubt Alpha Kai will be gentle with you” she added knowingly.
Alpha Kai appeared in the doorway, stroking his chin. “What’s the verdict?” he chuckled, a hopeful expression on his face as he eyed me hungrily. “Those twins of hers are sure to be our of for the next few hours” he added leering at me.
“How can you betray your chosen mate like this?” I asked him in desperation as he moved closer and caressed my cheek, causing me to grimace and turn my head.

I squirmed in the chair. Heather impatiently gestured at me. “Take her. Maybe you can convince the stupid little slut to reject her mates and help us to weaken them. I know how badly you want to kill them both. A rejection would be the perfect start for yours and our revenge” she said as Alpha Kai grabbed me and hoisted me over his shoulder.
“Don’t do this” I said as he grabbed my ass and squeezed it, chuckling to himself “Heather, Isabelle” I shouted, flailing with my hands still cuffed.
“You had your chance” Heather’s voice is flat as she regards me coldly.
Isabelle coolly examines her nails. “When you’re done and she’s broken” Alpha Kai turns and looks at her. “Do me a favor stepfather” she drawls fluttering her eyelashes as he grins at her and remove that baby from her womb, whatever it takes. Even better if you cause her to miscarry while you’re having your fun” she added with a sneer.
Bitch. When I got my hands on her, I was going to make sure she got what was coming to her. Alpha Kai nodded. “No problems” he smirked and as he carried me upstairs, I began to kick and scream, causing him to chuckle deeply.
“Help” I cried, as he dragged me into a nearby bedroom and almost threw me onto the bed in his eagerness.
“Don’t worry” he told me, licking his lips. “You can scream as much as you want. In fact” he paused and tilted his head “the louder the better.”
