Chapter 29
Rhysand:
“The meeting time was moved to 6pm Roman informed, sitting on the chair beside mine in the business class, but my mind was elsewhere, staring blankly at the tab placed on a stand before me,
It’s just been a week. Just a week, and yet I already had the very bitter sweet urge to touch her. My mind wandered off back to how harshly she slapped my hands just to evade my touch.
I doubt I’ve felt this much pang in my chest in a long time.
Dax who has been gnawing and frustrating me for days now have gone uncomfortably silent.
Ah shit.
“Can you hear me?” Roman’s voice broke me from my reverie and I glanced up, turning my gaze to him, a frown settled on my face.
“What?”
His brows pulled into a frown, “You are distracted,” he noted.
“No.” I told him, rubbing my palm on my forehead, “You said the meeting was shifted to 6pm. I heard you alright.”
“Yes, that’s what I said.”
“Just set everything up before then,” With a nod, he looked away and continued the work on his laptop.
“Also,” I remembered something and suddenly said, “Get someone to prepare a black dress and send it to the house opposite mine.”
Roman turned to look at me, “For a lady?” he asked.
And I nodded, “With a pair of heels also, and whatever a woman might need to get ready for an event.”
Roman frowned, “How am I supposed to know what a woman would need?”
“Ask someone, perhaps your girlfriend or something. Just get someone to prepare it and send it tomorrow evening, latest.” I instructed him.
“Alright then.”
I thought about something and added, “Bill the cost for everything from my personal account.”
“You have close to three personal accounts.” Roman reminded me.
“Well, take the cost from the account I use most.”
He nodded in understanding, and there was silence for a while, leaving me to marinate on my thoughts, “Which lady is it?” I heard Roman ask from beside me.
“You don’t know her.” I waved his question off.
“Alright, I’ll get someone to send the dress, heels and whatever a lady might need for an event to the address.”

Chapter 29
I shifted uncomfortably on the chair, releasing a deep breath and closing my eyes as I felt a sharp ache shoot through my head, “Are you okay? do you need anything sir?” I heard a lady’s voice very close to me.
“No,” I responded, feeling her presence close to me, her sharp cologne wafted into my nostrils and I fought the urge to snap at her when she spoke again.
“Should I get you a juice then? you seem uncomfortable,” I opened my eyes to see who exactly it was pestering me.
The flight attendant was staring deeply at me with a soft smile which I found weird dancing across her lips. She tucked the strand of blonde hair across her face to her ear.
“I don’t need anything,” I shook my head, looking away from her and glancing down to the tab now on my lap, cause I wasn’t in the mood to talk much or face a flirting from her.
My curt response to her question should have been enough to make her realize I wasn’t interested, but she turned persistent.
“I can get you water then.” My gaze remained on the tab as I scrolled through my email, ignoring her continuously.
Until, she decided to up her game by stepping closer to where my seat was, and leaning in. The scent of her perfume wafted into my nostrils.
It was far different from Evelynne’s usual scent of lily and vanilla and this caused a tight frown to my brows.
The flight attendant bent low to whisper something to my ear, her cleavage was clearly exposed, so I turned my gaze away. “You are a handsome man. Are you sure there’s nothing you want?” she whispered to my ear. Her persistence grew a wave of annoyance in me, coupled with the pang still settled in my chest from Evelynne’s reaction earlier.
“Get the fuck away from here!” I cursed angrily, turning a sharp glare at her.
She glanced up at the sharp tone of my rejection to her advances.
Pressing her lips into a thin line, she scurried away and I turned back to Roman with a glare.
“I’ve done nothing wrong, that glare shouldn’t be directed to me.” He said, not looking at me but feeling my gaze on him as he fixed his glasses to the bridge of his nose.
“It was your fucking fault we didn’t take the private jet, so you’ve done a lot of wrong things.” My fist tightened and I released a deep breath at the quick rising intensity of anger in me.
Roman’s brows squeezed into a frown and he glanced up from the laptop on his lap.
“Your grandfather ordered me to not let you use the private jet for the next two months, so I had to make do with this set up.” Roman muttered with a straight face.
Of course it was my grandfather, someone hell bent on annoying me for the rest of his life.
“How long before this plane lands?” I rubbed a stubble on my chin, turning away from him and once again, focusing on my tab and reading the emails that needed immediate attention and response.
Roman stared down at his wrist watch, “From my calculations, in the next two hours we should arrive at Boston.”
Just like Roman predicted, the plane finally landed at exactly one hour and fifty–five minutes later.
A car was already prepared, waiting for us outside the airport. We got in, and it drove us down to the hotel which Roman had booked down a week stay already.

Chapter 29
Couple of minutes later, I settled into my hotel room and soon as I entered the room, my phone vibrated in my hand
Answering the call, I brought it close to my ear, “Yes?”
“How was the journey to Boston? Xavier’s voice sounded from the other end.
I walked over to the table, tapping loud speaker and placing my phone on the table.
“Frustrating.”
He chuckled from the other end. My eyes traveled around the room, taking note of the white sheet and curtains, along with a small door which I presumed, led to a balcony.
My eyes fell on my phone as I noticed another person was calling.
I would have declined but considering it was from my grandfather, I couldn’t reject or else he’ll talk about it for a long time.
“I’m ending the call, grandfather is calling.”
“Alright.” Xavier said and I ended the call, answering the one from my grandfather.
“Grandfather”
He ignored the greetings and the usual question about how the flight was and went straight to the point.
His words made me feel a suden burning surge of rage, as he muttered from the other end, “Your father is in Boston.”
