A woman stepped in, her porcelain skin strikingly pale, with sharp, well–defined features. Her wavy hair framed her face, and she wore a sharp business suit paired with high heels that clicked assertively against
the floor.
My gaze landed on her, and I thought to myself that finally the main character has arrived.
This woman was Marilyn, the newly appointed chief designer for Heartstone Jewels and the creator of the Unbound collection.
Marilyn strode to the front of the stage, her heels clacking with determination. She grabbed a nearby microphone and declared loudly, “Ms. Sinclair’s accusation that Heartstone Jewels plagiarized Eclipse Group is nothing but slander! Heartstone Jewels has never plagiarized anyone, including Eclipse Group!”
The room erupted into murmurs, with the press buzzing even more excitedly as they captured photos and video footage.
Marilyn, clearly satisfied with the attention, glanced around before raising her voice further. “Ms. Sinclair, you just claimed that Eclipse Group’s Ice and Fire design was completed a month ago, with testimonies from Jasper and Bruce to support your claim. Is that correct?”
I met her gaze calmly. “That’s right.”
Her lips curled into a smug smile. “That proves it! It’s clear that Eclipse Group’s Ice and Fire plagiarized my Unbound!”

support your claim that Eclipse Group plagiarized your design?”
Marilyn sneered. “I completed the Unbound design two months ago. As Ms. Sinclair herself just admitted, Eclipse Group’s Ice and Fire design was finalized only a month ago. The timeline speaks for itself—who the
plagiarist is should be obvious.”
The reporter followed up, “But Unbound was only revealed to the media two days ago. How does that prove Eclipse Group copied your design?”
Marilyn raised a magazine in her hand with a flourish. “My Unbound design was completed two months ago and was even published in this fashion magazine at that time. It was only recently, after signing with Heartstone Jewels, that we officially launched Unbound two days ago.”
With Marilyn and the reporter working together seamlessly, the press became more animated. Cameras flashed, and some journalists pointed their lenses directly at me, hoping to capture a moment of panic.
But I maintained my composure, my smile calm and unbothered.
As expected, Heartstone Jewels would attempt to accuse Eclipse Group of plagiarism during today’s press conference. Marilyn’s appearance, along with her so–called “evidence,” was part of their strategy to discredit
- us.
It was fine–I’d let her bask in her moment of triumph.
The reporter respectfully asked Marilyn, “Ms. Marilyn, could you show us the magazine you mentioned?”

Marilyn smirked. “Of course.”
She held up the magazine for everyone to sec.
It was a publication called Whirlwind, which I had never heard of before.
Flipping to a specific page, Marilyn revealed a design strikingly similar to Unbound. A bold caption highlighted the concept of the design changing colors under different lighting.

“Now, you can all see for yourselves!” Marilyn declared coldly, casting a triumphant glance at me. “Eclipse Group’s Ice and Fire is nothing but a blatant copy of my idea! I demand that Eclipse Group publicly admit to plagiarism, issue an apology, destroy all Ice and Fire products, and compensate Heartstone Jewels with 50 million for damages!”
Her words sent the room into an uproar.
People began whispering.
“Wow, so Eclipse Group really did plagiarize? Fifty million might be nothing to Eclipse Pack, but for such a massive company, reputation is everything.”
“Yeah, the number–one powerhouse in Rivemon, Eclipse Pack, getting caught in a plagiarism scandal? That’s a massive blow to their reputation.”
“And Marilyn’s evidence is pretty solid. That magazine proves her design predates Ice and Fire. Looks like Eclipse Pack is in real trouble this time.”
“Caden, the Eclipse Pack’s future Alpha, is going to lose face over this. He probably regrets coming to this press conference.”
Hearing the murmurs, I instinctively glanced toward the podium.
There he was–the man who exuded a regal and commanding presence–reclining in his chair with an air of indifference. His legs were casually crossed, seemingly unaffected by the accusations being hurled at Eclipse Group.
Perhaps sensing my gaze, Caden turned to meet my eyes. When our gazes locked, he offered me a faint, reassuring smile.
The trust and admiration in his eyes warmed my heart.
I returned his smile sweetly, then shifted my focus back to Marilyn. “Ms. Marilyn, may I ask where this magazine was published? Why have I never heard of it before?”
Marilyn’s lips twitched into a mocking smirk. “This magazine was published by Fostrau. Ms. Sinclair, as a lowly Omega, it’s no surprise you’ve never heard of it.”
“Oh, I see. It’s from Fostrau,” I said, feigning sudden understanding. “But if it’s from Fostrau, why is it in Vastoran?”
Marilyn froze for a moment before responding, “Why can’t Fostrau publish in Vastoran? This razine is aimed at the entire werewolf continent!”
I scanned the room, my gaze sweeping over the attendees, and asked slowly, “If this magazine is meant for all werewolves, then may I ask–has anyone here seen or heard of it before?”
