Chapter 128 Press Conference
At precisely two o’clock, the press conference began, sharp and punctual.

The room buzzed with electric anticipation. Reporters, cameras poised, maneuvered for the best angles, each of them eager not to miss a single moment of the unfolding story.
I stood off to the side, my eyes never leaving the man at the center of it all–Caden. His presence was magnetic, commanding the space around him as if he had the power to observe everything from his lofty position.
When the chatter died down and the room fell into silence, all attention turned to him. Caden stood, clearing his throat before speaking in a voice that was calm, yet undeniably authoritative. “Welcome to the Eclipse Group press conference,” he said.
He let the words linger in the air, allowing them to settle. “Today, we will be addressing the recent Ice and Fire incident and providing an important update.”
His gaze swept across the room, meeting the eyes of the reporters. “As most of you are aware, several cases of poisoning have been traced back to our Ice and Fire jewelry. Eclipse Group takes this matter with the utmost seriousness. After an extensive investigation, we discovered that the affected items came from our Fostrau factory. However, the jewelry produced at our headquarters is completely safe. This is supported by the official report we’ve received.”
Caden shifted his gaze toward Yale, who immediately stepped forward, presenting the report for the room to see. “This is the official testing report from a certified agency,” Yale announced. “It confirms that the products manufactured at our main facility are of the highest quality and meet all safety standards. You can trust in them.”
A reporter, his curiosity piqued, raised his hand and asked, “Mr. Holbrook, now that the issue with the Fostrau factory has been confirmed, how do you plan to address it?”
Caden’s voice grew sharper, filled with resolve. “We’ve already recalled every affected item and safely disposed of them. I will personally investigate the situation at the Fostrau factory to understand what went wrong. There will be no leniency given to the ones responsible for this matter.”
He paused, his eyes narrowing as he locked his gaze on the camera. His expression hardened. “Eclipse Group has already reached out to the affected customers and agreed upon compensation. I offer my sincerest apologies to those affected.”
The room erupted in applause, the reporters showing their approval of his quick and decisive leadership.
But the questions kept coming. “Mr. Holbrook, can you explain what happened at the Fostrau factory?”
Caden didn’t hesitate. “I’ll be traveling to Fostrau tomorrow to get to the bottom of the issue,” he said, his voice unwavering. “If it turns out the problem originates within Eclipse Group, I will take full responsibility.”
“Mr. Holbrook, do you believe a mole could be involved in this incident?” one of the reporters inquired.
Caden’s voice remained icy, his expression unreadable. “I can’t rule out that possibility. Once the investigation is complete, I’ll provide a thorough and fair explanation.”
The press conference unfolded smoothly. With Caden’s composed words, the stock price of Eclipse Group stabilized and began to rise steadily.
A quiet breath of relief escaned my lins

But today’s victory felt like a fleeting moment. Tomorrow’s journey to Fostrau would be the real challenge. Caden and I still faced a battle we couldn’t ignore.
As the night deepened, the shadows grew long.
I was in my room, packing my things, when I suddenly heard a soft cough.
Startled, I looked up. There, in the doorway, stood Caden. I hadn’t noticed his arrival.
He leaned casually against the doorframe, dressed in a simple white robe. His usual cold detachment was replaced by something far more familiar–an air of relaxation, of normalcy, that made him seem more like an ordinary person than the aloof figure he usually presented.
I blinked, caught off guard by the change in him.
A small, playful smile tugged at his lips. “Do I look good?”
“When did you get here?” I asked, my voice a little off as I snapped back to reality. I cleared my throat, feeling the heat of embarrassment rising in my cheeks.
Caden straightened, taking a few steps toward me. “Got everything packed?”
“Yeah.” I answered with a nod.
There wasn’t much to pack–just the essentials I’d need for the trip.
Just then, Caden’s phone rang.
He glanced at the screen for a moment, then tapped the speakerphone button, allowing me to hear the call as well.
“Jones, what’s the update?” Caden’s voice was calm but sharp, a note of authority in his tone.
“Mr. Holbrook, we traced the faulty jewelry. It all came from factory one,” Jones‘ voice crackled through the speaker.
Caden’s face hardened. “So, the problem lies with factory one?”
“Yes,” Jones confirmed. “I’ve already sent a team to investigate every part of the production process there. We should have results by tomorrow.”
“Good,” Caden replied, his voice unwavering.
He ended the call, and I turned to face him, unsure of what to expect next. “Now that we know it’s factory one, the investigation should be easier.”
“Not necessarily,” Caden said, his gaze darkening. “Whoever is behind this knows exactly what they’re doing. They’re not amateurs.”
“I agree,” I said, nodding in understanding.
The situation felt off, like some unseen force was pulling the strings, orchestrating events from the shadows.
With the enemy in the dark. still shrouded in mystery. Eclipse Group remained at a disadvantage.

“We’ll figure it out when we get to Fostrau tomorrow,” Caden said, his voice softening. He placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “Get some rest.”
“Goodnight!” I smiled at him before heading to my room.
