Chapter 31 Sincerest Apologies.
Wendy’s POV:

Following the direction the sales associate pointed, my gaze landed on a girl who looked as if she had stepped straight out of a fairy tale. She was wearing the pure white Alice Signature Collection gown.
The off–shoulder design revealed her alluring collarbones, while the mermaid hem hugged her tall. slender frame, accentuating her stunning curves.
She exuded elegance, grace, and poise, with just the right touch of playful charm. She was breathtakingly beautiful–so much so that it was impossible to look away.
It wasn’t until she turned around that I realized it was osaline.
She was stunning.
A fire of jealousy burned fiercely within me, threatening to consume my sanity. Pointing at Rosaline, I commanded the sales associate loudly, “I want this dress! Wrap it up for me!”
The sales associate hesitated. “But the young lady earlier said she wanted to buy it.”
I shot Rosaline a disdainful glance and asked coldly, “Did she pay for it?”
The sales associate faltered. “Not yet.”
“Then it’s not hers!” Lilian chimed in eagerly, pointing at me and rolling her eyes at the sales associate. “Do you even know who she is? She’s the Crawford family heiress. If you offend her, you can kiss your job goodbye!”
I lifted my chin high in arrogance. The Wild Pack family was one of the most prominent and influential in Rivemon, and I was Raymond’s beloved granddaughter This sales associate didn’t have the right to defy
- me.
The color drained from the sales associate’s face, and I didn’t need to guess to know she had made her choice. Given the circumstances, she’d rather risk offending Rosaline than crossing me.
Approaching Rosaline nervously, the sales associate said. “Miss, someone else has purchased the gown. you’re wearing. Could you please take it off?”
A mocking smile curved Rosaline’s lips. “Didn’t I already say I was buying it?‘
“But …”
The sales associate hesitated, clearly torn over how to ask Rosaline to remove the dress. Before she could find the words, Lilian strutted over in her high heels and demanded, “Wendy wants this dress. Take it off immediately!”
“Oh?” Rosaline cast a calm glance my way and said coolly, “I saw this dress first, and I said I’d buy it first. Surely you understand the concept of ‘first come, first served, don’t you?”
“Do you even have the money to buy it?” Lilian snapped, glaring at her. “Do you have any idea how much this dress costs? You think you can afford it?”

with Lilian. She simply pulled out a sleek black card and handed it to the sales associate. “Charge it to this, please.”
My eyes fell on the card in Rosaline’s hand, and a sudden sense of familiarity washed over me. That card. with its subtle golden sheen, looked oddly familiar.
I remembered that Caden had a card just like this.
Then it hit me–this type of black card is a globally limited edition. Even Raymond doesn’t have one, so there’s no way Rosaline could possess such a prestigious card on her own.
It must have been Caden who gave it to her.
I couldn’t accept that Caden would treat Rosaline–so wc.).
The thought made me want to summon my wolf right then and there–to rip this infuriating Rosaline to
shreds.
Unable to hold back, I grabbed the sales associate’s hand just as she was about to take the card and shouted, full of arrogance. Tll pay double the price!”
Rosaline’s POV:
Crossing my arms, I shot Wendy an annoyed glance.
She was like an unrelenting shadow, always showing up to ruin my mood.
Even shopping for a dress, I couldn’t escape her. Just my luck.
I raised an eyebrow and said, “Ms. Crawford, haven’t you ever heard of ‘first come, first served‘? This dress is mine. No matter how much you offer, I’m not giving it to you.”
“Do you
even deserve to wear that dress?” Wendy glared at me, her eyes practically boring holes into me.
“Exactly! Such a gorgeous dress is wasted on someone like her!” Lilian sneered from the side. “This dress was made for Wendy. She’d look a thousand times better in it than you ever could!”
“Oh, you think I’m not worthy of it?” I let out a mocking laugh, my eyes drifting to the outfit Lilian was wearing. “Well, at least I can tell the difference between huthentic pieces and cheap knockoffs.”

Still glaring, Wendy sneered, “Do you think you have the right to mock me? Do you actually believe you’re Caden’s fiancee? D’mn! Mrs. Holbrook doesn’t even acknowledge you, and Caden’s only interested in you because you’re a novelty to him. Do you think he’d ever marry a country bumpkin like you?”
“Rosaline, Wendy has made up her mind about this dress. Be smart and take it off!” Lilian barked as she stepped forward, reaching to yank the gown off me.
“What do you think you’re doing?” I snapped, fury igniting inside me like wildfire.
She was unbelievable–trying to rip the dress off me in broad daylight?
In Frostmoore. I was the one who bullied others. No one dared to lay a finger on me,

An unexpected surge of Alpha strength burst out of me Lilian stumbled backward, rolling and tumbling across the floor, eventually landing in a heap over ten eters away.
