Chapter 33 Furious
Caden was the head of the Four Great Packs in Rivemo and the rightful heir of the Eclipse Pack
Finister
He controlled dozens of companies under his name, with a combined market value in the hundreds of billions.
If there was anyone you didn’t want to cross, it was Cad
It was obvious from Dale’s reaction to Wendy and me earlier that he’d pieced together I had an unusual connection with Caden. That’s probably why he decided to step in.
I patted Dale on the shoulder, signaling that I didn’t need his protection.
Wendy and Lilian, those two low–level nuisances, were no match for me.
But Dale had already called in two werewolf warriors, who stood intimidatingly in front of Wendy and Lilian, blocking their path.
Seeing this, Wendy had no choice but to back down; being from another pack, she knew better than to challenge werewolf warriors–she’d only end up defeated.
“Ms. Sinclair, my sincerest apologies for not treating you better earlier. Please forgive us!”
I chuckled. Dale was proving to be quite perceptive. I decided then and there to give all my future orders
to them.
I nodded in acknowledgment, thanked Dale, and turned to leave.
As for Wendy, I didn’t care what conclusions she jumped to. It wasn’t like Caden, with his hectic schedule, would bother with such a trivial matter.
Still, seeing Wendy–that witch–gritting her teeth in frustration filled me with undeniable satisfaction.
Night fell, and by seven o’clock, I arrived on time for my appointment.
Chroma Lounge was Rivemon’s most luxurious bar, a place frequented exclusively by the wealthy and powerful werewolves.
“Rosie! O
ver here!” Ryan was already in a private booth, drinking and playing drinking games with a group of friends from the entertainment industry.
I smiled as I walked over. “Ryan, your new movie wrapped up so quickly? Congratulations!”
Ryan quickly pulled out a chair for me. “Rosie, sit here. What would you like to drink? How about some red wine? Let me pour you a glass.”
I wasn’t much of a drinker, so I smiled and shook my head. “No thanks, I’ll just have a soda.”
Come on, just a little bit? Rosie, it’s my birthday today Ryan gave me a pleading look as he poured half at glass of red wine for me and a full one for himself. “Rosie, let’s toast.”
“It should be me toasting you. Ryan, happy birthday!” I didn’t decline further and drank it in one go.

We chatted for a while until a beautiful voice floated through the bar, drawing everyone’s attention.
Fincher
I followed the sound to the stage, where a young woman in a stunning red gown was singing Her shoulder–length wavy hair and charming demeanor captivated the audience, and her voice was soft and melodious.
“She’s the resident singer here, I think her name is Angel, Ryan explained.
I nodded. “She’s pretty good.”
Ryan grinned. “Not bad, but she’s nowhere near as good as you. Rosie, it’s been so long since I’ve heard you sing. Why don’t you sing a song for me as my birthday gift?”
His friends joined in, cheering. “Rosie, sing a song for yan!”
Ryan looked at me with hopeful eyes. “Rosie, would you?”
When I was 17, my singing left a deep impression on him.
I glanced at the stage in the center of the bar and nodded slightly. “Okay.”
Chroma Lounge allowed customers to request songs. Amid the enthusiastic applause, I slowly made my way to the stage, dressed in an elegant white gown.
This song is for my dear friend Ryan. Happy birthday
As the music began, I parted my lips and began to sing
The ethereal melody from my voice spread across the entire bar, captivating everyone.
Caden’s POV:
Standing in the dimly lit VIP suite on the second floor, I kept my eyes fixed on the stage, where the radiant girl looked like a goddess descending to earth.
I had come with business partners to discuss a deal, never expecting to see Rosaline here.
I remembered her saying on the phone that she was meeting someone at a bar, but I hadn’t thought much of it at the time. Yet, here she was, meeting Ryan.
One of my associates noticed my darkened expression and quickly tried to curry favor. “Mr. Holbrook, please try this green beer. It’s Chroma Lounge’s latest specialty. The flavor is exceptional
I glanced at the green glass in his hand and found it unbearably irksome
Did Rosaline even realize what she was doing?
She was, in name, my fiancée and the future Luna of my pack. Yet here she was, openly on a date with another man in a bar, even singing for him.
1 clenched the glass in my hand, growing more furious with each passing thought. The next thing I knew, the glass shattered in my grip.
My associates froze in shock, panicking as they scrambled to hand me a towel and replace the glass. They assumed they had unser me somehow.

What they didn’t know was that the person angering me was none other than Rosaline.

Finished
When I finished the song, thunderous applause filled the lounge. Some people even began chanting. “Encore! Encore!”
I smiled politely and stepped down from the stage, returning to our private room.
“Rosie, your singing was incredible! It’s the best thing I’ve ever heard, way better than the resident singer here at Chroma Loungel Ryan praised enthusiastically
1 forced a faint smile. “Stop buttering me up. I’m going to the restroom.”
The wine I had earlier must’ve gone down too quickly I felt a little queasy.
As I approached the restroom door, a middle–aged man in a suit blocked my path. “Are you the new resident singer?”
I looked up at him briefly. He had a beer belly and a receding hairline, his ill–fitting designer suit screaming “nouveau riche.”
Expressionless, I shook my head. “No.”
Before I could step away, he grabbed my hand and shoved a stack of cash into it, his lecherous eyes sweeping over me. “Beautiful, spend the night with me and this is yours.”
