hapter 52 Feed Me
Rosaline’s POV:
This annoying man actually dared to argue with me.
He’s the rightful heir of the Eclipse Pack, yet he’s so fragile..

I rolled my eyes in my mind, using one hand to support Caden while the other fumbled around in his pocket for the keys.
Accidentally, I brushed against something warm.
Caden let out a slight laugh. “What are you touching?”
“Oops, sorry.” I quickly apologized, realizing my mistake and refocusing on finding the keys.
My goodness, it’s huge.
The more I fumbled, the more wrong it felt. Even something as simple as a key was making things so difficult. I’d been searching for ages, yet it still eluded me.
Feeling anxious, I began to dig deeper into Caden’s pockets.
“Caden, where on earth did you put the keys? I can’t find them!” After a few minutes of frustrating effort, my fingers were sore, and Caden was still leaning heavily against me.
I seriously considered calling Freya and having her drag this irritating quasi–Alpha out of town.
Caden reached out with his unhurt left hand, stopping mine as it searched through his pocket. He guided it to the other one, his gaze intense. “It’s here.”
“You!” I rolled my eyes, feeling frustrated.
He had clearly pointed to the right pocket just a moment ago.
This sly man must be doing this on purpose!
After finally getting the door open, I helped Caden settle onto the sofa.
“Rest for now,” I told him, getting ready to stand up. But my feet slipped, and before I knew it, I landed right in Caden’s arms.
Caden’s POV:
Although Rosaline quickly got up and stepped back, the soft, sweet sensation of her touch nearly made me lose control.
Unable to resist, I teased, “Couldn’t wait to fall into my arms, huh?”
Her face turned bright red as she shot me a glare. “It’s because you’re so heavy and insisted I help you.”
I couldn’t help but enjoy seeing her flustered like this.
To be honest, just now, Rosaline’s hand had been brushing against my thigh through the fabric, and the

so comfortable that Edward almost transformed from the depths of his soul.
Rosaline’s stomach rumbled, and her face instantly flushed a deep red.
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Are you hungry?”
She nodded slightly, looking a little embarrassed.

“I’m hungry too. Let’s order something. I suggested, pulling out my phone with my left hand. “What are you in the mood for?”
“Do we have any ingredients in the fridge? I can cook. I’m actually quite good at it,” Rosaline said, glancing around for the fridge.
“You can cook?” I asked, genuinely surprised.
She smiled, her lips curling into a teasing expression. “Of course. However, I rarely cook. You’re lucky today -it’s my way of thanking you for saving my life.”
1 straightened up, grinning. “Repaying a life–saving favor usually calls for something a little more…. intimate,” I said, my gaze locking with hers.
Rosaline shot me a sharp look before standing up and heading into the kitchen.
Since this is just a temporary place for me, I have someone come in regularly to tidy up and restock food, so everything she might need should be here.
I watched her move around the kitchen, intrigued by what she might be preparing for me.
Rosaline tied on an apron, moving with the diligence of a wife preparing a meal for her husband. The scene felt warm and strangely familiar.
Grandpa’s voice echoed in my mind once more.
“Rosic is a good girl, Caden. If you treat her well, you’ll see just how great she is. Don’t let someone like her. slip away.”
Maybe it was time to let go of Tessa and focus on getting to know Rosaline in the present.
Unable to resist, I stood up and made my way toward the kitchen.
Rosaline’s POV:
Just as I was about to begin, I heard Caden’s smooth voice behind me, “Need any help?”
I turned to find him leaning casually against the doorframe, his tall, striking figure framed by the doorway. With his hands tucked into his pockets, his features softened into a playful smile, and his deep gaze locked.
onto me.
His eyes were like two pools, pulling you in without even trying.
I quickly spun around to face him, raising an eyebrow. “Aren’t you supposed to be unable to walk?”
Caden responded with a straight face. That’s why I need you to help me to the dining room.”
I shot him a glance and pushed him toward the door saving. “Go on your own. I’m busy.” With that. I

slammed the door behind him
What an annoying guy.

Once 1 finished cooking the noodles and brought them out, I found Caden already seated at the dining table, waiting.
“Give it a try,” I said, placing the fork in front of him. “It’s too late to make anything else, so I made some pasta with my homemade meat sauce. Just have this.”
Caden glanced down at the pasta, his eyes betraying a hint of surprise.
I thought to myself that my cooking was undoubtedly a feast for the eyes, nose, and taste buds.
Noticing that he wasn’t eating. I quickly dug into my own plate, already feeling hungry.
However, after finishing a plate of noodles, I looked up and saw Caden raising an eyebrow at me. The pasta in front of him was still untouched.
“Why aren’t you eating?” I asked, confused. “Is it not to your liking?”
Caden shook his head before raising his bandaged right hand in front of me.
I raised an eyebrow, still puzzled. “You can use your left hand!” Was he really refusing to eat just because of his right hand?
Caden’s voice was low as he replied, “Left hand? I’m not used to it.”
I sighed and stood up, ready to clear the plate. “Well, if that’s the case, you don’t have to eat.”
But before I could take the plate, Caden caught my hand with his left, his gaze intense and mischievous. “Who said I’m not going to eat?” He smirked. “Feed me.”
