Chapter 61 Had Enough?
Queenie’s POV
I didn’t turn around, but the sound hit me like a slap
Caden had just thrown the ointment I gave him right into the trash.
I knew it had to be Rosaline’s doing. She was behind all of this

I couldn’t just let it go. Rosaline had to be dealt with. If she stuck around, I wouldn’t be able to stand it.
Once she was out of the picture, I knew Caden would pay attention to me again.
But it felt like he was too caught up in Rosaline. He was always protecting her, leaving me nowhere to go.
Then, a thought hit me like a lightning bolt.
Wendy
She was just as eager to get rid of Rosaline as I was.
I didn’t like Wendy, but for now, my hatred for Rosaline burned stronger.
I knew Wendy’s feelings for Caden were one–sided. Caden didn’t feel the same way about her.
So, it was Rosaline who was my true rival.
Maybe, just maybe, I could use Wendy to my advantage. If I played it right, I could set her and Rosaline against each other.
Rosaline’s POV:
When the workday ended, Caden drove me back to New Moon City.
Willa had cooked a full meal, all my favorite dishes.
It was clear that Caden had told her what I liked. I appreciated the gesture.
“Mr. Holbrook, Ms. Sinclair, unless you need anything else, I’ll be heading out,” Willa said, her smile warm.
Caden nodded and cut a piece of beef, placing it on my plate. “Let me know if it’s to your liking.”
“It’s perfect.” I took a bite, savoring the crispy texture and the tender meat.
“From now on, just tell Willa what you want,” Caden said, cutting another piece of beef with ease and adding it to my plate.
His face was striking–almost sculpted, like something carefully crafted by an artist. Even in the simple act
eating, he radiated a quiet elegance that was hard to miss.

For a moment, I lost track of everything.
nk you.”
“There’s no need to thank me,” Caden replied, his expression unreadable.

His eyes were like an endless sea–deep, mysterious, and filled with a quiet intensity, as if they could swallow up your very soul.

Despite his infuriating habits, it became increasingly clear to me that the Alpha of the Eclipse Pack was undeniably handsome.
“Had enough of me yet?” Caden asked, breaking the silence.
I blinked, confused. I’m not staring.”
“But I saw yon,” he said with a small laugh.
1 narrowed my eyes at him. “Which also means you were staring at me.”
Caden raised an eyebrow, his smile sly. “True. I won’t deny it. You’re beautiful.”
My face flushed. I was just trying to eat, and suddenly, he was flirting with me. Wasn’t he supposed to be the cold, distant type?
The awkwardness in the air thickened.
Just then, my phone rang, cutting through the tension at the worst possible moment.
I glanced at it, and my heart skipped a beat.
It was Jasper.
Caden watched me closely, but I quickly declined the call.
“Why aren’t you answering the call? Caden asked, his voice curious.
I cleared my throat. “Spam call.”
Before I could finish my sentence, the phone rang again. It was still Jasper.
I ignored it and kept eating, but the phone kept buzzing on the table.
Jasper wasn’t going to give up. It felt like he’d call all night if I didn’t pick up.
I sighed and stood up. “Excuse me, I need to take this.”
With Caden’s gaze on me, I left the dining hall, hoping he wouldn’t follow.
When I reached the balcony, I glanced back and saw that he hadn’t moved. Then, I answered the call. “What do you want?”
“Rosaline, I need to see you.” Jasper’s voice was calm, but there was a forcefulness behind it.
He didn’t know when to quit. Normally, I would’ve ignored him, but with Caden in the picture, everything got tangled up
“Fine. Tomorrow at 10 a.m., Blues. I’ll be there,” I said, deciding it was time to finally confront him.
“Tomorrow, then, Jasper replied, his voice lighter now.
I sighed in my mind feeling the weight of what was to come
