Jasper was already waiting when I arrived. By the time I stepped into Blues, he was sitting in the corner.
The cafe was empty, and it wasn’t until later that Llearned Jasper had rented the entire space to avoid being interrupted.
As I entered, I saw him seated by the window. His expression brightened as soon as he noticed me, and he stood to greet me.
“Hey, Jasper” I took a deep breath and walked over. “Sorry I’m late?”.
“No, I was the one who arrived early,” he said, his gaze full of warmth.
I shook my head as I made my way inside. He followed and pulled out a chair for me like a true gentleman.
“I ordered some mocha for you. Your favorite, is that alright?”
I nodded, sitting down and sipping the coffee. “Thanks.”
“It’s been months, and you’re still as beautiful as ever,” Jasper said, offering a sincere compliment.
I shifted uncomfortably and decided to change the subject. “What made you come back? Weren’t you under contract with Goldenwood for six months?”
I canceled it, Jasper replied with a casual shrug.
“What?” I was taken aback. “Going to Goldenwood, becoming the world’s top star–that was your dream. Why give that up?”
“Compared to love, dreams don’t mean much,” he said, his voice quieter now. “Rosaline, I don’t believe love Caden. You’re just trying to make me back off, aren’t you?”

I stared at him, already regretting my decision to help him. I hadn’t expected him to act so emotionally. disregarding the Moon Goddess‘ blessing and publicly rejecting his destined mate.
Frustration welled up inside me. “Can you grow up? Whether or not I love Caden is none of your business. Forget your personal desires for a second–don’t you see the consequences of breaking your contract with Goldenwood? The company will suffer because of it.”
“I’ll take full responsibility,” Jasper said with conviction. “Besides, I’ve decided this country is where I need to be. I plan to focus Starplay Entertainment on the local scene from now on.”
“This isn’t something you can decide alone,” I said, frowning as I looked at him. “Why are you acting so rushly?”
“This isn’t a rash decision,” Jasper replied with a calm assurance. “I’ve thought this through. I have a solid plan to show you. I’ll present it in a few days, and I’m sure you’ll agree with me then.”
I stayed quiet. I had been considering shifting the focus of Starplay Entertainment to the local scene, but the way Jasper was moving forward felt like he was skipping over important steps.

“Get it to me as soon as you can,” I said, tightening my brow But even so, you can’t past make decisions
just without consulting anyone. You shouldn’t have said anything to the media. You nearly broke the Internet. Don’t you think that was a bit much?”
“I don’t, Jasper said with resolve. Acting is my job, but it’s not everything. What I want most is to share my
ccess and happiness with the person I love!
His eyes glinted with something I couldn’t quite place. Then, without warning, he reached out and took the hand holding my coffee. “Rosaline, you know who I’m talking about.”
I pulled my hand back quickly, keeping my voice steady. Jasper, there are things I need to make clear. We’re not right for each other. I think you should focus on your work
“Why not?” he asked, pressing further. Is it because of Caden?”
I hesitated, unsure how to explain. Just as I was about to speak, he said softly. “Rosaline, there’s something you
on’t know.”
“What’s that?” I asked, instinctively curious.
Jasper’s lips twisted into a small smile. “Caden has always loved someone else.”
“Someone else?” I felt my breath catch.
“Is it Tessa?” I asked, taking a breath.
“You know her?” Jasper was momentarily stunned.
I lowered my gaze and nodded.
“Then you should know it as good as I do. Caden’s heart has always been hers. He doesn’t love you. You won’t find happiness with him.”
I couldn’t help but think back to that night when Caden had been drunk, shouting Tessa’s name. A strange pang tugged at my chest.
I opened my mouth to say that I didn’t care, but before I could speak, I heard shouting from outside.
I turned toward the door. “What’s happening?”
“I’ll check things out,” Jasper said, standing and heading for the door.
Freya had mentioned seeing a flash of light outside. It was likely from a paparazzi’s camera.
Something didn’t feel right. I stood up and followed him.
When I reached the door, I saw a face I recognized.
Lilian?
“Sorry, Mr. Sullivan. This young lady insisted on entering,” the server quickly explained to Jasper.
“What are you up to?” Jasper’s eyes were icy as he looked at Lilian. It seemed he didn’t know her.
Lilian stared at him, almost frozen for a moment before she spoke, “Jasper, I’m a huge fan. You’re so hot. Can I have an autograph?”

She was nervous, stumbling over her words.
So, Lilian was just another one of his fans
I couldn’t help but laugh quietly to myself, but I stayed put, unwilling to step closer.
Jasper’s gaze shifted to her phone. “Were you the one taking pictures of me?”
“…“Lilian’s hand shook slightly as she held her phone.
“Your phone. Jasper ordered, his voice calm but firm.
Lilian hesitated, her grip on the phone tightening.
Jasper moved closer, taking the phone from her hand.
“Passcode,” he demanded, his voice colder now.
Lilian reluctantly typed in the passcode, her fingers trembling.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to take your picture,” Lilian mumbled, her voice barely a whisper.

Jasper’s face remained unreadable as he worked quickly on the phone. A few moments later, he handed it back to her.
“Don’t let me see you again.”
“I think that woman took pictures of you and your date. If those pictures get out and Caden sees them, things could get messy.”
