Chapter 73 Sabotaging Rosaline
Rosaline’s POV:
Irested until the day of the official shoot for Ice and Fire.
Finished
My leg injury had long healed, so I arrived at the studio 30 minutes early to personally confirm that all preparations were in order. After ensuring everything was on track, I waited for the others.
Soon enough. Annie, Bruce, and Jasper showed up on time.
“Is everything ready?” I asked the makeup artist after doing one final check.
She nodded. “Yes, we’re good to go.”
“I’ll go change first,” Annie today?”
said with a straight face as she looked at me. “Where’s the outfit I’m wearing
“Here it is.” I handed her the garment bag containing the dress.
The gown was a new design I had created myself for Loe Studio, tailored specifically to complement the “Ice and Fire jewelry collection.
Annie took the dress and headed to the changing room with her agent.
Soon, she reappeared in the fiery red gown I had designed.
The dress seemed tailor–made for her, with layers of cascading fabric that perfectly showcased her graceful figure.
She had become a brilliant ray of sunshine with the vivid red radiating a warmth and beauty everyone in the room.
She looked absolutely stunning, and the impact was surprisingly breathtaking
that captivated
I was satisfied with the outcome. Since Annie’s expression of “ice” wasn’t up to my standard, this fiery design. played to her strengths.
I was about to instruct the makeup artist to get started when Annie’s cold voice broke the moment. “Rosaline, are you seriously letting me wear this dress for the shoot?”
“What’s wrong with it?” I asked with a frown. Wasn’t it perfect?
Annie turned slowly, revealing the back of the dress. Everyone’s eyes widened in disbelief,
On the back of her gown, there was a perfectly arranged row of diamond buttons, each one sparkling and shimmering against the vibrant red fabric.
However, right in the center, a button that was the largest and most dazzling of them all was missing.
Gasps rippled through the crowd. How could this happen?
How could such a glaring mistake occur in such a prominent position?
“Ms. Sinclair, is this your idea of professionalism? How could you bring me a dress like this for the shoot?”
Chapter 73 Sabotaging Rosaline
I frowned in confusion. I had checked the dress when I handed it to her earlier and it was perfect.
Finished
This was a gown I designed myself, featuring a total of ten diamond buttons arranged in a neat vertical line
as decorative accents.
I had specifically inspected it, and all ten buttons had been accounted for.
Jasper stepped forward. “Could it have fallen off in the changing room?”
“Impossible,” I said firmly,
Every piece Loc Studio produced underwent meticulous inspection by Yura
As for this particular gown, I had specifically asked Yura to double–check its quality. A button wouldn’t just fall off, and even if it had, there should have been a thread or some trace left behind.
However, the spot where the button was missing was smooth, with no sign of fraying.
The only plausible explanation was that someone had deliberately removed it.
Jasper frowned but still instructed his agent to search the changing room.
A few minutes later, the agent returned. “I couldn’t find the button in the changing room. I’ll look elsewhere.”
“No need to search anymore.” I stepped toward Annie and said with a serious tone, “Annie, hand over the button.”
Her expression changed instantly. “What are you talking about, Rosaline?”
I smirked. “I’m saying that you deliberately removed the button.”
“Don’t be ridiculous!” Annie’s eyes flickered with panic for a brief moment.
Annie’s POV:
Yes, I had cut off the button to frame Rosaline.
Wendy had told me that Caden was a perfectionist who wouldn’t tolerate mistakes at work. If Rosaline’s negligence disrupted the shoot, she would undoubtedly face severe consequences.
If Rosaline made such a basic error during the ad shoot, she could very well be fired.
That was why I had taken the risk of snipping off the button to sabotage Rosaline.
I never expected Rosaline to figure out it was I who had cut it and publicly called me out.
I took a deep breath to calm myself. I had already flushed that diamond button down the toilet, so Rosaline wouldn’t have any evidence to prove it was her button that was missing.
With that thought, my expression returned to normal, and I raised my voice to challenge her. “Did you think I cut the button off? What a joke! Why would I sabotage my photoshoot? I fought hard for this endorsement opportunity. This dress was
custom–made for me, specifically for this shoot. If the shoot gets. ruined, I lose out too. What possible reason would I have to do such a thing?”
