Watching Annie collapse to the ground, I knew my counterattack had succeeded. The truth was out in the open.
“Annie, you’ve really disappointed me,” Bruce said, stepping beside her. His blue eyes were filled with an unmistakable sense of disappointment.
“No, it’s not true! Babe, listen to me. I didn’t do it,” Annie cried, her emotions unraveling as she clutched Bruce’s arm tightly. “You have to believe me. This is all Rosaline’s doing–she’s framing me!”
Bruce’s gaze shifted from Annie to her agent. “Tell me the truth. What really happened?”
He exuded a chilling authority, and his words carried an unspoken threat. “If you lie, I’ll make sure you regret it for the rest of your life.”
The agent’s face turned pale. After a moment of hesitation, she cleared her throat and confessed. “Mr. Collins, the truth is that Ms. Annic cut the buttons off the dress in the fitting room.”
Annie’s face twisted in fury. “How dare you sell me out?”
“Ms. Annie. I’m just stating the truth. I can’t bury my conscience,” her agent said softly, lowering her gaze. “I don’t even know why she would do such a thing.”
“Where’s the button now?” I pressed immediately.
“She threw them into the toilet and flushed them,” the agent admitted honestly.
“No, that’s a lie! I didn’t do that!” Annie protested.
“Should I have someone retrieve them from the sewer?” I scoffed.
Annie was truly thick–skinned. She was still trying to deny it at this point.
At that moment, Caden, who had been silent until now, turned to Yale. “Send someone to find the button,” he ordered.
Yale moved quickly, and in no time, they managed to retrieve the diamond button from the sewer.
“Mr. Holbrook, is this the button?” Yale asked as he handed it over carefully.
“It is. I took the button and held it up for everyone to see. “Loe Studio always embosses their logo on their
buttons.”
The faint logo was still visible, though the button had been through unspeakable grime. Unfortunately, it was ruined and couldn’t be reused. What a waste.
“Now, do you have anything left to say?” I asked Annie with a smirk. “Your agent wouldn’t know about the buttons being flushed if she hadn’t seen it herself.”
Annie’s face turned ashen. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out.
Straightening my posture, I announced, “With the evidence and testimony, the truth is clear. Annie, I don’t

Chapter 76 Termination and Replacement
“What? You’re terminating my contract? Annie gasped as her eyes widened in disbelief.
Finished
“That’s right.” I said firmly. “As a spokesperson, integrity is the first and foremost requirement. We won’t endorse someone who lacks it. On behalf of Eclipse Group, I’m officially terminating our agreement with
you
“You can’t do this! Annie’s voice cracked as she turned to Bruce with pleading eyes. “Babe, say something You know how much being Eclipse Group’s spokesperson means to me. You promised me! You have to speak up for me now!“
Bruce shook his head in disappointment. “Annie, I’ve already fought for you. But your actions today are beyond redemption. You brought this on yourself. I can’t help you anymore”
With that, he turned and left the studio.
“No, wait! Listen to me!” Annie called after him, but I stepped in her path.
“Ms. Annie, don’t you think you owe me an apology?” I asked.
“An apology? To you?” Her face was contorted with rage as she clenched her fists. “If it weren’t for you. I wouldn’t have been humiliated today! You want an apology? Dream on!”
Before she could continue, two voices cut through the air simultaneously.
“Apologize to Rosaline!”
Both Caden and Jasper spoke at the same time, their combined aura was oppressive enough to make Annie falter.
She hesitated, then stomped her foot and muttered through gritted teeth, “Fine! I’m sorry. Happy now? Can I leave?”
“Please return the dress first,” I said.
She shot me a venomous glare before storming off to the fitting room. Moments later, she rushed out and disappeared down the hallway, presumably chasing after Bruce.
Watching her retreating figure, I felt a wave of exhaustion.
This whole fiasco had derailed the shoot. Annie’s irrational behavior was utterly baffling.
“It seems today’s shoot won’t happen,” Caden said, frowning. “We’ll need to arrange for a new spokesperson. and set a new date.”
With Annie out of the picture, it was imperative to act quickly.
“I have someone in mind,” I said after a moment’s thought.
“Who?” Caden asked, intrigued.
“A rising star Naomi Lawrence. What do you think?” I replied while tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear as I awaited his reaction.
