Chapter 89 Trendy Search (Part Two)
As more and more people gathered, Milana’s performance became even more exaggerated.
“Stella, my poor daughter! How could you suffer such a cruel fate? You’ve been harmed by tha wicked woman, Rosaline, who pushed you into the water! Rosaline deserves to die! If you go, I will cont Milana cried out dramatically, collapsing to the ground and pointing at me as she accused me of temible things
Honestly, I wasn’t shaken by their attempts to intimidate me.
But dealing with someone as hysterical and unreasonable as Milana–someone who was clearly trying t cause a scene–was starting to get on my nerves.
She clearly wanted to destroy my reputation completely.
I tried to get past her and into the company, but Milana immediately stepped in front of me, blocking my path. “We’re here to demand justice for Stella! We’re going to expose your true nature as a murderer the declared loudly.
Two werewolf warriors, tasked with keeping order, heard the noise and came out from the Eclipse Group’s building. Upon seeing me surrounded by the crowd, they hurried over. “Please, move along Don’t block the company entrance or disrupt the order here!” they instructed.
“You came just in time!” Milana grabbed hold of both warriors by their arms. “This murderer tried to kill my daughter! Take her away!”
“Move aside, or I’ll call the police,” I said sharply, losing my patience. I held up my phone and added coldly, “You can be charged with defamation, disturbing the peace, and inciting violence–do you really want to end up in jail?”
Milana’s eyes burned with anger. “How dare you threaten me, you murderer!”
She paused for a moment, then turned to the two werewolves who had come with her. “What are you waiting for? Aren’t you going to take revenge for Stella?”
Hearing this, the two middle–aged werewolves glared at me fiercely. One of them quickly transformed into a massive black wolf, leaping over my head and landing in front of the company door, blocking my way.
I was done. I was about to call Freya for help when a deafening howl shattered the air.
A giant white wolf appeared, leaping down from above and landing in front of everyone. Its massive paws stomped on the ground, crushing several tough tiles beneath it.
With a flick of its tail, the black wolf that was blocking my path was sent flying to the side.
I stood frozen, both shocked and thrilled–it was Caden.
He had leaped down from the upper floors of the building, transforming mid–air to rescue me.
The white wolf exuded an overwhelming presence. After knocking the black wolf away, it let out a furious roar that shook the ground.
Everyone, including Milana, froze, dropping to the ground in submission.
The once–screaming Milana was now completely silent.

Caden stood tall and proud, returning to his human form. He walked over to me, gently took my hand, and looked at me with an uncharacteristic softness in his eyes. “Are you okay?”
The warmth of his touch spread up my arm, and a sense of comfort filled my heart.
Wow, this guy really knew how to make an entrance as a hero what he did was incredibly cool.
I shook my head. “I’m fine.”
Behind us, Yale, who had followed Caden, spoke in a cold tone, “Where did this crazy woman come from. making all that noise?”
Milana trembled as she answered, “Rosaline pushed my daughter into the water! She’s a murderer!
Yale’s eyes narrowed with disgust. “And you dare slander Ms. Sinclair?”
He turned to the two werewolf warriors beside him. “Get them out of here.”
At his command, the two warriors shifted into their wolf forms and shredded the banners, growling as they forced Milana and the black wolf to leave.
Caden squeezed my hand and led me inside the building. “Why didn’t you call me when this happened?”
I gave him a faint smile. “It’s just a small thing. I could handle it. But… thank you for stepping in and saving
me.”
Caden gave a small nod before whispering in my ear, “Don’t try to handle everything on your own. Next time, let me know. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
Was he… flirting?

My face flushed, and I quickly looked away, avoiding his gaze. “I’ll get to work.”
I hurried to my desk, grateful for the distraction.
Once I sat down, I opened my computer and began reviewing the promotional photos the photographer had sent.
The indoor shots from the last session were fantastic, and I felt pleased with how they turned out.
Just as I focused on my work, Sally from the next desk gasped. “Oh, my God, Ms. Sinclair! Is this you? You’re trending!”
Trending?
I grabbed my phone and opened the news site. Sure enough, the headline was already there under trendy searches: “Eclipse Employee Suspected of Premeditated Murder, Allegedly Attacked Victim’s Family Member on the Street.”
The article included photos and captions accusing me of intentionally pushing Stella into Lover’s Lake. It even quoted Queenie and Tyler, casting doubt on the case.
The heartbroken mother, Milana, had come to seek justice for her daughter but was reportedly violently thrown to the ground by me.
The photos made it seem like I had pushed Milana down, but in truth, she had grabbed me first, and I had
