I was lounging on the couch, my eyes glued to the screen of my phone. The notifications were relentless- messages from all sorts of people, each one more venomous than the last.
Some were even threatening my life. Everyone was eagerly waiting for the live stream tomorrow, desperate to hear how Stella would supposedly expose the “true” me.
I couldn’t help but chuckle darkly. Tomorrow? I couldn’t wait for it.
Just then, my phone buzzed with a pleasant ringtone. It was Anthony.
“Wilda, I found the information you asked for. I’ve already sent it to your email.” His voice crackled through the speaker.
I gave a satisfied nod. “You did great.”
“How dare Stella act so high and mighty! She’s practically begging for trouble,” Anthony sneered. “Wilda, don’t let them get away with this!”
“Do I seem like the kind of person who’d let it slide?” I replied, voice icy.
Anthony laughed heartily. “I know you always get what you want!”
I smiled at the compliment. “You flatter me.”
Stella’s POV:
The next morning, a swarm of reporters had gathered outside the hospital, eager to catch every second of the drama. As visiting hours began, they rushed into my room.
I lay there, pale and fragile, playing the role of the helpless victim to perfection.
Queenie had also arrived, pretending to be here for a visit. But I knew better–she was here for the spectacle.
Her presence only added to the drama. After all, she was Caden’s cousin, and her being here would only further highlight how despicable Rosaline, that Omega, truly was.
“Thank you all for coming today,” I croaked, feigning weakness as I struggled to sit up.
Queenie quickly moved to assist me. “Take it easy.”
The lead reporter didn’t waste any time. “Good morning, viewers. Many of you are curious about the situation between Rosaline Sinclair, an employee at Eclipse Group, and former employee, Stellaxon. Today, we’re here in Stella’s hospital room to get the full story from the source herself.”
The reporter turned to Queenie. “Ms. Holbrook, we’ve heard rumors that Rosaline is engaged to Mr. Holbrook. What are your thoughts on this?”
Queenie cleared her throat, ready to set the record straight. “That’s just a rumor. Don’t you know the kind of

Packs in Rivemon. There’s no way we’d be involved with a murderer.”
“I see.” The reporters nodded, taking it in.
Then, they turned their attention back to me, the true focus of the story.

“Ms. Dixon, can you tell us what happened when you fell into Lover’s Lake? Our viewers are dying to know.”
I held my breath, letting my eyes water as I put on my most vulnerable expression. “Thank you for your concern,” I spoke dramatically.
“That day, I was supposed to meet a friend at Lover’s Lake, but she canceled last minute. Since I was already there, I decided to take a walk alone. That was when I ran into Rosaline. The moment she saw me, she started yelling at me, telling me to die. Before I could even react, she shoved me into the water. She kept screaming at me to die!”
I wiped away fake tears, speaking as quickly as I could.
The camera flashes kept popping off as the reporters pressed for more. “Ms. Dixon, do you know why Rosaline pushed you into the water?”
I lowered my head, letting out another cough. “When I worked at Eclipse Group, Rosaline was always jealous of me. I thought if I kept my distance, things would be fine. But I never imagined she’d go this far- actually poisoning me and pushing me into the lake!
“I can’t swim. I struggled in the water, calling for help, but Rosaline just stood there on the shore, watching me with a smug look, shouting for me to die.”
Queenie quickly chimed in, “That’s exactly what happened. I was at Lover’s Lake with some friends, and I saw Rosaline push Stella into the water.”
“Unbelievable. It seems the truth is exactly as we suspected. Ms. Dixon was deliberately pushed into the water by Rosaline,” the reporter declared, eyes wide with shock. “We believe justice will prevail. Anyone who commits a crime will face the consequences. Justice will not be delayed!”
Rosaline’s POV:
I’d heard every word of the reporters‘ statements before I even reached the hospital room.
How cruel, Stella.
But too bad for her and her supporters–today would be the day their hopes were shattered.
I walked into the room, my steps steady and purposeful.
Looking at Stella, still playing her little act in bed, I spoke in a low, measured voice, “Well said. Justice will not be delayed. And anyone who commits a crime will get what’s coming to them. Don’t you agree, Stella?”
