Ivy spoke with a hint of schadenfreude.
She walked straight through the crowd, swiped Daisy’s hand away with a casual wave, and
then turned the doorknob three times. The door opened.
aisy’s face turned as black as could be, but the next moment, she was distracted by the
shocked exclamations of a few girls nearby.
“Wow! Mr. Taylor’s closet is huge!”
“But… these are all women’s clothes…”
“Oh, you’re so dumb. Of course, Mr. Taylor bought these for his girlfriend.*
Daisy’s eyes lit up as she gently caressed the expensive bags and jewelry before her. These were the very things she’d always dreamed of, and they were also part of her plan to get
closer to Calvin.
I couldn’t help but throw some cold water on her excitement.
“Just look, but you can’t take anything.”

I pulled Ivy out the door, and through the reflection in the mirror, I could still see the smug look on Daisy’s face.
In my mind, I couldn’t help but think: Take it. Take everything. The more, the better.
Downstairs, Calvin was grinning, basking in compliments from a group of male colleagues. But the very next second, his smile faded.
Daisy, along with several girls, descended the stairs, now dressed in high–end dresses from the closet, replacing the clothes she had on earlier.

Daisy, across the room, was furious, her eyes red.
Unable to watch anymore, I pulled Ivy away. The show was over anyway.
As we were leaving the villa, Calvin chased after us.
Heditating, he glanced at Ivy, but when he saw that I wasn’t planning to let her leave first, he steeled himself and spoke.
“Bianca, please don’t tell Miss Wright about what happened today, okay?”
