Love Story3- Chapter 1
I was looking for a place to hide my wedding shoes when I received a call from
Cali.
my
friend
“Lydia, I’m hosting a bachelorette party for you tonight at my place!”
“I invited a bunch of our girlfriends, so let’s have a blast!”
I happily agreed.
In my past life, after leaving Cali’s place that night, my brakes failed on the drive home, and
I ended up in a car accident. I lay bleeding, watching Harrison Allen and Cali Black together, looking so deeply in love. I begged them to take me to the hospital, but Harrison only gave me a vicious look.
“Lydia, blame it on your bad luck!”
He then poured gasoline over me, leaving me to die in the flames.
This time, I gazed coldly into the night outside the window, a smile tugging at my lips. I was determined to take back everything I had lost.
I dressed up and went to Cali’s house. As soon as I entered, Cali spotted me and pulled me to
the center of the room.
“Tomorrow is my best friend’s big day!”
“Tonight, let’s celebrate her last night of being single!”
Applause erupted around us. Cali handed me a glass of juice and made a toast to the crowd.
“Everyone, cheers!”
I remembered vividly–it was this very glass of juice in my past life. This time, I held the juice in
my mouth and, while she wasn’t looking, went to the restroom and spat it all out.
When I returned to the hall, Cali rushed over, looking worried.

“Lydia, where did you go?”
I clutched my stomach, pretending to be in pain.
“Maybe I ate something bad; I just went to the restroom.”
From the look in Cali’s eyes, I could see a hint of joy.
“Lydia, I know you drove here, so I prepared your favorite mango juice just for you!”
“Thank you, Cali, you’re always so thoughtful!”
She led me into a private room, and I celebrated with them, singing and cheering. At one
point, Cali received a call and stepped out. While the others were distracted, I quietly
followed her.
In the hallway, I overheard Cali speaking angrily.
“Useless! You can’t even find her car; how am I supposed to rely on you?”
The person on the other end seemed confused and even suggested a video call. After
checking the area, Cali’s expression changed.
“That’s impossible! Lydia always drives wherever she goes. Could she have taken a driver
today?”
She muttered to herself, then dialed another number. I vaguely heard, “Your fiancée didn’t
drive today, so how should we proceed?”
My head buzzed, and my legs trembled as memories of my death flashed in my mind,
filling me with dread. I had known they were together, but hearing it confirmed still hurt
deeply. Harrison, the man I loved, had been willing to let me die.
As I tried to deny it, a familiar voice drifted over.
“Can’t you just drug her and set her up with some random guy, then let me catch them in
the act?”
“That way, her reputation would be ruined, and she wouldn’t be able to go through with the wedding. In front of everyone, she’d beg for my forgiveness, and she’d have to agree to

whatever I say.”
My face turned pale as I realized how cruel the man I’d loved for five years could be.
“My love, you’re brilliant! I’ll go handle it now!”
“Once it’s done, getting her shares from her will be a breeze!”
Everything became clear. Harrison had repeatedly mentioned the shares in my company, asking if I’d transfer some to him after our marriage. I’d planned to surprise him on our wedding day, but his constant hints had annoyed me, so I hadn’t told him. I never imagined he’d be so impatient, eyeing my assets before I was even gone.
In my past life, this treacherous pair had caused my untimely death! In this life, I would take back everything I had given to Harrison–every last bit.
