Chapter 2
I pretended not to know anything and returned to the private room, laughing and chatting with the others. Cali came in and had the housekeeper bring champagne and desserts. She
handed me a piece of cake.
“Lydia, don’t you love strawberry cake? Try some!”
I took the cake, clutching my stomach with a pained expression.
“Cali, my stomach hurts terribly. I need to go to the restroom!”
I put the cake on the table and rushed out.
Clutching my stomach, I returned to the room and told Cali that I felt hot and uncomfortable and wanted to rest in a lounge room. Seeing me like this, Cali’s eyes lit up,
thinking the drug was taking effect! She hurriedly led me to a resting room, repeatedly reminding me before she left.
“Lydia, take a good rest. If you need anything, just call me!”
I lay on the bed, forcing a faint smile to reassure her.
Once she was gone, I got up and went to the door, listening to her phone call.
“Come over now, first room on the second floor. Get it done, and you’ll be rewarded!”
“Remember, take lots of photos. I want her utterly disgraced this time.”
As her footsteps faded, I arranged the bed to look like someone was sleeping there. Then I
left the room and hid in the hall next door. About ten minutes later, I saw a dazed,
overweight man stumble toward the room. After checking that no one was around, he made a call, urging someone to hurry over.
When he saw the door was unlocked, he grinned lecherously and went inside. I quickly
rushed out from the hall and locked the door from the outside.
So, Harrison and Cali wanted to catch me in the act? They’d be sorely disappointed today! Since they couldn’t fake an accident after learning I didn’t drive, they decided to frame me

for infidelity. I couldn’t wait to see their reactions in a bit.
As I waited in the hall, I soon heard Cali’s voice echoing down the hallway.
“Harrison, please don’t be mad. Lydia might just be feeling unwell, or maybe I heard
wrong!”
“Cali, you’re just too kind. Even if you’re best friends, you don’t have to protect her like
this!”
“Exactly, we’re all adults here. Could anyone misinterpret sounds like that?”
“If you ask me, you and Harrison are the real match, unlike Lydia, who isn’t even a fraction of your worth!”
Cali reveled in the flattery, giving a slight cough.
“Molly, don’t say that. Lydia is still my sister, after all.”
Sister?
Her fake sincerity made me nauseous. Isn’t this exactly what she wanted?
Harrison, with a sour face, cut straight to the point.
“If she dares to do it, she shouldn’t be afraid of being exposed!”
Cali led the crowd to the door, immediately ordering the butler to unlock it. Harrison
charged in, looking like he was ready to catch me in the act.
However, the scene that awaited them left everyone completely stunned!
