Chapter 3
The entire room was in disarray, with only one man lying on the bed–there was no sign of anyone else. The onlookers exchanged glances, now understanding the situation
completely. They were Cali’s friends, here to help her “catch” me in the act.
Not finding me, Harrison grew worried that his plan was falling apart and questioned Cali angrily.
“Didn’t you say Lydia was here? You said you heard sounds! Where is she?”
Cali stammered, unable to explain herself.
Harrison grabbed the drunken man by his collar, slapping him twice. The man, too intoxicated to recognize who was in front of him, tried to pull Cali into a kiss.
“Baby, I missed you so much!”
Cali shoved him away, realizing he was too out of it to answer anything useful.
Watching this scene from the hall, I couldn’t help but smirk. Cali, Harrison–this is only the
beginning. The real show is yet to come!
Feigning innocence, I walked into the room. Seeing the crowd, I gasped in shock when I noticed the man on the bed. I rushed over and pulled him up.
“Who are you? What are you doing in my bed? If you don’t explain, I’ll call the police!”
At the mention of the police, Cali and Harrison’s faces turned pale. Harrison snatched my phone away, his expression tense as he attempted to explain.
“Lydia, where were you? Cali said you weren’t feeling well, so I came to check, and then found this guy here.”
I sneered inwardly. They had planned to humiliate me, but now he was trying to act like a caring partner. If he had protected me like this in my past life, I would’ve been deeply moved and treated him even better. But now, his pretense only filled me with disgust.

Chapter 3
“I wasn’t feeling well, so I went out for some air. Then I got a call from my cousin, saying she was at my place and needed me to come back. I was about to leave but realized I left
my bag here, so I came back to get it.”
I lowered my head, my eyes red, tears streaming down my face.
“I never expected that while I was gone, someone would sneak in when the door was left
unlocked!”
Harrison held me, patting my back, but instead of comforting me, he asked suspiciously,
“Lydia, the doors here have magnetic locks. Are you sure you didn’t let him in yourself?”
I shoved Harrison away, locking eyes with him.
“Harrison, what do you mean by that? Are you accusing me of letting him in on purpose? Of betraying you? Is that really how you see me?”
Harrison remained silent, but someone in the crowd spoke up,
“Who knows? Just because you walked in from outside doesn’t mean you two weren’t involved!”
Harrison’s eyes brightened at these words, as if they spoke exactly what he wanted to hear.
I laughed bitterly inside. To paint me as an adulterer, these two would stop at nothing.
I looked around, then turned to Harrison and asked,
“Is that what you believe too?”
Harrison looked down, saying nothing. I laughed coldly.
“In that case, why don’t we check the surveillance footage to get to the bottom of this?”
