Chapter 5
Seeing that everything was laid out clearly, Call came over and held my wrist,
“Lydia, it’s not easy for two people to come this far together; don’t be so quick to talk about
splitting up!”
“Now that everything’s sorted out, let’s let it go. By the way, what happened at home? You
seemed in such a rush to leave.”
Holding the signed guarantee from Harrison, I decided not to press further.
“It’s my cousin. She heard about my wedding and flew back from abroad just for it.”
Cali’s face lit up with envy. Although Harrison’s family was wealthy, they couldn’t compare
to mine.
“Lydia, this party was organized especially for you. If both of you leave…”
I couldn’t help but smile and pulled Harrison over.
“I can’t drink, so it’d just dampen the mood here. Why not let Harrison stay and keep you
all company?”
“After all, as long as one of us is here, it’s the same, right?”
Before Harrison could respond, I patted his shoulder and smiled.
“Harrison, most of the wedding preparations are done. You know I can’t ignore my cousin
after she came all this way to see me!”
“It’d be such a downer if we both left, so why don’t you stay on my behalf?”
The friends around us agreed, saying it wouldn’t be right if both of us left since the party
was in my honor.
Seeing Harrison’s reluctance, I reassured him in front of everyone.
“Don’t worry, tomorrow’s the wedding. After it’s over, I’ll introduce you to my cousin!”

Chapter 5
Harrison’s face lit up, his demeanor changing entirely.
“Lydia, that’s fantastic! If that’s the case, go ahead! Leave everything here to me, and I’ll make sure everyone has a great time!”
Harrison had been with me for five years, and he’d often asked about my cousin. After all, she was the CEO of Hanna Corporation, one of the top ten companies in the Americas. I knew exactly what he was thinking.
I picked up my handbag and, before leaving, patted Cali’s hand.
“Sweetheart, it’s getting late. I’d better go, so I’ll leave Harrison here to keep you all
company!”
Cali’s joy was barely contained; she was thrilled to see me leave as soon as possible.
As I walked down the stairs, my hands clenched together. This was only the beginning. Since they enjoyed playing games so much, tomorrow I’d deliver them the ultimate surprise!
