Chapter 6
After arriving home, my silent phone had hundreds of missed calls.
There was also an apology message from Keith.
I turned off my phone, took a shower, threw my pajamas into the trash can and had a good sleep.
When I woke up the next day and went out, I saw Keith huddled at the door.
I was going to step over him, but he woke up and grabbed my trouser legs.
“Ruby, let’s talk.”
I looked at my watch impatiently.
“No time, we have nothing to talk about.”
Keith spoke to himself. “Ruby, when did you start to prepare for a divorce? Is it because of that necklace?”

“Ruby, we still have a son. What will happen to our son if we get divorced?”
“Ruby, I was wrong. I can’t leave you.”
“Ruby, do you still remember Coco? Coco needs her mother.”
A little head popped out from Keith‘ s arms, but I recognized at a glance that it was not our Coco.
“Shut up!”
Keith really quieted down, just like me day and night before. In the past, I loved to tell Keith some wonderful stories in life.
Keith would listen to me when he was
happy and would whisper to me to shut up
when he was in a bad mood.
Over time, I was not willing to tell him these little things.
Keith disappeared for half a month and began to appear frequently in my life.
Sometimes it was under the streetlights

late at night.
Sometimes it was on my way to buy groceries.

I pretended not to see him and passed by him sideways. He tried to call me several times, but I ignored him.
I hadn’t worked for too long, so I found a job in a bookstore to help look after the bookstore.
There was a barista in the bookstore, who was a college graduate. He said that his dream since childhood was to be a barista.
I asked him if he felt that it was a waste of talent to be a barista after graduating from college. He smiled and fiddled with the cup in his hand, pulled out a beautiful pattern and placed it in front of me.
“Of course not, passion is long live.”
I remembered that after marriage, I told Keith that I wanted to do handmade things because I liked it since I was a child.

Keith said I was useless.
It turned out that… so long ago, Keith‘ s disgust for me had been slowly showing.
It was just that my love was covered by a filter and I couldn’t believe it.
Keith called me and said he agreed to divorce.
I took off my apron with a smile and said that there was something good today.
The barista handed me a brand–new lipstick. “I thought it suited you last time. If it’s a good thing, put on the lipstick and go to welcome it.”
When I arrived at Keith’s office, Cynthia was rarely there.
I played the mobile game that Keith said. was childish, waiting for him to draft the
agreement.
The agreement was handed over and Keith was very generous. He gave me shares in the company and the house he bought for

me at that time.
My hand paused as I signed, pointing at the house. “I don’t want this, I think it‘ s disgusting.”
Keith called a lawyer to draft a new one, giving me more property.
I looked at it and found no problem, so I wrote down and prepared to sign.
Keith suddenly got angry and snatched the agreement in front of me. “Ruby, look carefully, you don’t have the custody of your son.”
I snatched the divorce agreement and was about to sign my name and casually said,
“I know, fortunately his father is rich and his stepmother loves him.”
Keith tore up the divorce agreement like crazy, his face turned red because of anger.
I shrugged indifferently.
“Then come to me when you have made up your mind.”
