Chapter 12
Chapter 12
When we got back, my roommate told me that John had deleted his public post about that official announcement.
But for me, it no longer mattered.
Life went on, but something felt different.
Alex started inviting me to study in the library, even though I was two years older than him.
He noticed my beautiful handwriting and suggested I start a live stream from my dorm.
gught it would be just a casual hobby, but unexpectedly, it went viral.
I sold custom word stickers and quickly saved up enough for tuition.
I kept it low–key, though–only Alex, my roommates, and Hannah knew about it.
I began traveling with Alex during our free time.
He meticulously planned every detail of our trips.
He would book the hotels, pick the restaurants, and even act as my personal photographer.
With the extra money, I bought makeup and skincare products.
I also researched better ways to dress for my body type.
I enrolled in dance classes and got a gym membership.
I was completely reinventing myself.
So, when Alex took my picture, it was of the confident, radiant me.
The world started feeling more vibrant, and so did my circle of friends.
Old classmates and friends started commenting:
[Wow, you’ve really changed! Zoe, you’re getting more and more beautiful!]
[Look at that body! How do you stay in such great shape? Teach me!]
[What foundation is that? It’s so smooth! Please send me the link!]
It’s true, once you start improving yourself, the world around you starts to feel kinder and gentler.
