Love Story10–Chapter 1
Love Story10–Chapter 1
I stood at the back, watching Jason and Aurora Field accept questions from the media. They looked every bit the perfect couple.
“I heard Mr. Beard is marrying Miss Field soon.
I wonder if we’ll get to drink a toast at the wedding,” someone teased. At the mention of their wedding, I froze.
Jason was getting married.
But he had never told me.
oked at him, his face showing the perfect smile as he held Aurora’s hand.
“Yes, we’re getting married in half a month. We’ll invite all the high society of the capital to celebrate together,” he said smoothly.
Hearing Jason’s words, I smiled bitterly.
Yes, this was his life, and I was just his secretary. I had crossed a line.
Later, back at the office, Jason placed my hand on his forehead.
I’m so tired today, my head hurts.”
I paused, thinking about his upcoming wedding to Aurora. Without thinking, I pulled my hand away.
“Mr. Wilson, there’s a contract you need to review.”
“Tracy, are you upset?” Jason raised an eyebrow at me.
I didn’t answer, and he pulled me closer, his voice soft.
“Tracy, you’re the most understanding woman I’ve ever met. You should know, even if I marry, you can still be my secretary. Our relationship won’t change.”
He looked at me and placed a diamond bracelet on my wrist, the same one Aurora was wearing today.
“This is for you. Let’s consider this matter closed. Aurora and I are just entering a business marriage, there’s no emotion involved.”
After saying that, Jason set the contract aside.
“I’ll look over it. If there’s nothing else, you can go. I have plans tonight, so I won’t be seeing you.”
I stared at his side profile. This was Jason–no feelings, only interests.
I smiled, took the bracelet off, and placed it on his desk.
“Mr. Wilson, you think too much. We’ve always had a business relationship, I don’t mind your personal matters.”
I turned and left, closing the door behind me.
I didn’t mind anymore because I no longer had the right to, but I had completely let go of the five years of feelings.
I were to delete all my information.
“Miss Sapir, are you sure you want to delete all your information? If something happens to you, we won’t have any leads to find you.”
I sured and replied.
“Yes, I’m sure.”
No leads to find me; I truly didn’t want anyone to find me.
Whend got home, I saw someone standing downstairs. Squinting, I recognized who it was

“Miss Sapir, long time no see. These flowers are for you.”
Tim Bronte handed me a large bouquet of roses, smiling.
“Mr. Bronte, if you have any work–related matters, you should contact Mr. Wilson, not me.”
Tim was Jason’s greatest rival. Over the years, the two had clashed numerous times, and I had seen a lot of him while following Jason.
I tried to pass him, heading upstairs, but I heard Tim’s voice behind me.
“Miss Sapir, your relationship with Mr. Wilson isn’t just professional, is it?*
I stopped in my tracks, my fists tightening.
an and I had kept our relationship a secret for years. To the outside world. I was just his secretary, but I didn’t expect Tim to figure it out.
“Mr. Bronte, do you like meddling in other people’s affairs? If you’re this good at investigating, maybe your stocks wouldn’t have lost money this year.” Hearing my sarcastic remark, Tim wasn’t offended. He just smiled and walked up to me, placing the flowers in my hands.
“You may not know this, but during the meeting today, you kept watching Mr. Wilson. I kept my eyes on you.”
My fingers froze, but he grasped my hand, his eyes locking onto mine with the determined gaze of a hunter.
“Miss Sapir. I won’t tell anyone, but I really admire you. If you need anything, you know where to find me.”
He handed me a business card and left.
I took a deep breath, tossing the flowers into the trash.
When I went upstairs, my mind kept replaying Jason’s words. He still wanted me to be his underground lover. What did he take me for? How long did he expect this relationship to last?
Finally, I gave a bitter smile. Two people from different social classes–how could we ever have a future?
“Mr. Beard and Miss Field spent the night together at a hotel, acting intimately.”
I opened my phone to the headline, my pupils dilating as my fingers trembled to click on it.
There was a photo of their backs, and I could tell it was Jason’s.
