Chapter 2
I thought about the words he said earlier today, “I have plans tonight.” So, he was meeting with Aurora Field.
I threw my phone onto the sofa and laughed out loud.
The next day, when I went to the office, I hadn’t even knocked on the door yet when I overheard their conversation inside.
“Mr. Wilson, you were really impressive last night. It’s been a long time since I’ve encountered such a strong, well–built man like you.”
1 froze, my hand hovering mid air before knocking on the door, my fist tightening.
gs Field, you flatter me. In just two weeks, our wedding will be here. Why don’t we go look at wedding dresses today?”
Finally, I knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
I walked in, and Mr. Wilson’s expression changed slightly when he saw me, but his eyes didn’t even blink. His tone was impatient.
“Why are you here so early?”
“The work from yesterday wasn’t finished. I came in early to handle it. Sorry to interrupt, Mr. Wilson and Miss Field.”
Aurora Field raised an eyebrow when she heard this. She smiled and walked over to me.
“You’re Mr. Wilson’s secretary, right? I’ve seen you before.”
I was taken aback and extended my hand.
“It’s a pleasure.”
But Aurora Field only sneered, then sat on Mr. Wilson’s lap and looked at me with a defiant expression.
“We’re going to try on wedding dresses today. Why don’t you come with us?”
I froze, looking at Mr. Wilson.

Miss Field is right. The more opinions, the better. Since she wants you to come, you should go.”
I forced a smile, my voice dry.
“Yes, Mr. Wilson.”
I went with them to try on the wedding dresses. Aurora Field eagerly tried on dresses while Mr. Wilson stood there in his suit, looking like a god.
The two of them really were a perfect match.
“Miss Sapir, do you think Mr. Wilson and I look good together?”
Aurora Field, dressed in a wedding gown, showed off a strawberry mark on her collarbone.
I looked at the mark and smiled.
“Miss Field and Mr. Wilson are the perfect match in the world.”
“You know how to talk.”
Aurola Field smiled and then threw a card at me, her eyes filled with disdain
Here’s your ups You can leave now.”
I stared at the card on the ground, stunned for a moment before quickly picking it up

“Thank you, Miss Field.”
“No need to thank me. I just wanted to tell you, Miss Sapir, don’t covet things you can’t have. It’s not a good thing.”
Aurora Field crossed her arms, her face full of arrogance.
