Chapter 4
Chapter 4
“Of course. But I’m curious–what would his expression be if he knew I was with his archrival?” I shrugged and said with a smile.
Jason, weren’t you the one who once said I was just the least noticeable flower among all the others in your garden? So, what are you doing now?
If you knew I was with Tim, what would your expression be? But none of that matters now, because it’s over.
Tim chuckled at my words and then kissed my hand.
“You’re a captivating woman, no wonder Jason fell for you.”
Bronte flatters me. Your intentions are no less than Mr. Wilson’s,”
I replied, knowing full well Tim was only close to me to extract Jason’s secrets.
I hadn’t expected that I would leave my job, and now I was with Tim.
Maybe it was all to make Jason jealous, but I didn’t care what they were up to. As long as I wasn’t losing out.
I smiled as I looked at the handsome man in front of me..
We were on our way back from a hot spring one evening when we suddenly saw a figure standing downstairs.
The figure was slender, dressed all in black, and his face was hidden.
I squinted, feeling like the person seemed familiar, but didn’t think much
of it.
There were so many people coming and going here every day, how many could I possibly know?
So, Tim and I continued walking toward the elevator, chatting without paying him any attention.
“Tracy, Tim,” a hoarse voice suddenly called out. It was muffled with years of emotion, making us both stop in our tracks.
The voice was unmistakable–I would never forget it. Clearly, Tim heard it too.
“Tracy, go upstairs. I’ll handle this,” Tim said softly to me. I nodded.
Just as I was about to leave, I heard Jason’s cold voice from behind.
“Tim, step aside. I don’t have time to fight with you.”
“How
many times have we fought already, Mr. Wilson?
By the way, with all the mess in the capital, you still have the time to be here? Seems like you’re just a bit too bored.”
Tim leaned back with his arms crossed, casually eyeing Jason.
I didn’t want to hear them argue, so I was about to leave, but Jason immediately called out, “Tracy! Don’t walk away.”
I turned and looked at Jason, but when I saw him, I froze.
The aloof and handsome Jason I knew was gone.
His face was haggard, his eyes sunken, bloodshot, and deep shadows beneath his eyes.
He looked like he hadn’t slept for days, his body had become thinner, and I could see the toll it had taken.
I was stunned for a few seconds, seeing him like this for the first time.
Jason’smiled bitterly.
“Surprised to see me like this? I never imagined I’d end up like this because of you. Tracy, looks like you’ve won this time.”

Chapter 4
His eyes focked on mine, filled with longing and desire.
“Tracy, let’s talk.”
“There’s nothing to talk about between us. I’ve already handed in my resignation. We have no more relationship.”
I regained my composure and responded coldly.
“You’ve resigned, but that doesn’t mean our relationship is over. Tracy, do I really need to say more?”
Jason looked at me, moving towards me, but Tim blocked him.
“Mr. Wilson, I think you’re a bit late. Tracy is mine now.” Tim said, holding my hand firmly.
n froze, staring at me for a long time before swallowing hard.
“Tracy, is what he said true?”
When Jason asked, his voice trembled, his eyes burning with a fierce, almost painful intensity, as if he was desperately waiting for an answer.
I looked into his eyes, offering no lie. I smiled lightly.
“Mr. Bronte is right. You said I was the least noticeable flower in your garden, but it turns out, you’re just as unnoticed.”
Jason stood there, stunned, his mind clearly struggling to process what I had said. He didn’t speak for a long while, just staring at me.
“If there’s nothing else, Mr. Wilson, please leave. Tim and I still have business to attend to.”
I walked up and grabbed Tim’s hand.
The action stung Jason deeply, and he rushed forward, trying to grab my hand, but Tim pushed him away.
“Mr. Wilson, aren’t you too old for these childish games?” Tim looked at him, full of challenge.
“Tim.” Jason spat the words out like they were bitter.
“I can ignore you stealing my business, but you shouldn’t touch Tracy.”
Tim sneered, tightening his grip on my hand.
Who do you think you are? You’re the one who didn’t want her, and now you’re here saying these things?”
Jason ignored Tim and stared at me.
“Tracy, you really are something. You even erased all your information. You really don’t want me to find you, do you?”
“Mr. Wilson, you’re about to get married, and I’ve only resigned. What’s the problem? Aren’t you a bit too involved in my life?” I retorted, mocking
him.
Jason didn’t get angry; instead, he looked at me with something in his eyes I couldn’t quite place.
“Come back with me, Tracy. Back to the capital.”
“I’m not going back.”
I looked at him coldly, feeling a sense of finality in my voice. It was the first time I had spoken to him this way.
