Chapter 5
“Are you sure you won’t go back?”
“I won’t go back, Jason Beard. I’ve already resigned. You have no right to control me,”
“Fine, if you won’t go back”
Jason smiled, but his smile quickly faded as a group of people surrounded us. Tim Bronte and I froze in place.
“If you won’t come with me, I’ll have to carry you back.”
n looked at me, his eyes filled with obsession and madness.
“Jason, are you crаzу?”
I narrowed my eyes and stared at him.
“Do you think you can do anything if I go back with you? You’re from the Beard family, and I’m just an ordinary person. Don’t push me.”
“Jason, I never imagined you’d be this crazy.”
Even Tim Bronte became alert, stepping in front of me to shield me.
“You’ve been pushing me all along. I’ve already gone mad. Or maybe, I’ve always been crazy.”
“Tim, I know you’re good with your hands, but you can’t beat them.”
I looked around at the burly men surrounding us, knowing Tim was no match for them. Finally, I stepped forward.
“I’ll go with you, but let Tím go.”
“Tracy Sapír! I don’t need you to-”
Tim looked at me, a hint of panic in his eyes.
“You really like him, don’t you, Tracy?”
Jason glared at me, his eyes turning red with jealousy.
“Mr. Wilson is right.”
I smiled and replied.
In the end, Jason Beard took me back to Seaford.
Tim Bronte promised he would come back to find me, but Jason glared at him, not saying a word.
“When did you and Tim Bronte meet?”
On the plane, Jason looked at me, trying to keep his voice calm.
“Don’t worry, I haven’t told him anything about the company.”
I didn’t look at him. I just pulled the blanket up over myself.
“You know that’s not what I meant, Tracy. Do you really want to provoke me?”
Jason’s anger flared as he grabbed my face, forcing me to look at him. His eyes were bloodshot, and I could faintly see tears gathering in his gaze.
“Do you know how happy I was when I finally found you? When someone told me they found your trace, I was so excited. But then they told me you were with Tim Bronte…”
“So what?”

I stared at him indifferently, my eyes without a trace of emotion.
“This is my personal matter. You can marry whoever you want, and I can be with whoever I want. It’s none of your business.”
I held my ground, not backing down.
We locked eyes for a few moments before Jason finally smiled.
“Alright, Tracy. Listen carefully, from now on, you’re mine. I won’t allow you to have any more contact with Tim Bronte.”
“Jason, I’ve already resigned…”
“You resigned, but that doesn’t mean you get to work. You’ll stay at my estate and never leave.”
aze when I heard those words.
“Are you insane?!”
“I’ve been insane for a long time. I told you this.”
Jason looked at me. “You won’t leave. And you won’t see Tim again.”
I took a deep breath, smiling as I began to walk toward the plane door.
You think I can’t leave you? If I want to, there’s nothing I can’t do.”
“Tracy, stop!”
He caught up to me and suddenly grabbed me from behind, holding me tightly. I felt a warm tear drop onto my neck.
I froze.
Jason Beard was crying.
“I’m begging you… don’t do this. Stay with me. I won’t marry anyone. If you want, I can marry you… as long as you stay with me…”
“Do you know… the past half month, I almost went crazy. I never thought I’d become like this without you. Don’t leave me.”
I closed my eyes, feeling drained of all strength.
Jason pulled me back to his estate, directly throwing me onto the bed. I was startled and shrank back.
“Jason, what do you want?”
“What do you think I want?”
Jason looked at me as he undid his shirt buttons, his eyes full of madness and desire.
“I want to see where Tim Bronte touched you.”
“Get off me!”
I slapped him hard, leaving both of us stunned.
“Don’t touch me…”
I didn’t look at him; I mumbled,
“Don’t make me hate you more, Jason. I don’t want to hate you like this…”
Jason’stared at me. His shirt had become wrinkled from my grip, making him look like a wild animal.
“I don’t want to do this either…”
Jason whispered softly.

Chapter 5
The next day, an uninvited guest arrived. I was upstairs when I heard voices from downstairs.
“Jason, I just want to see her. We’ve met before. She won’t mind.”
Irecognized the voice immediately–it was Aurora Field.
“Aurora Field, I’ve already given the Field family the compensation they’re owed. Don’t come here again.”
“Jason! Do you really think I’d harm her? You know she ruined us.”
I heard their argument and went downstairs.
“Let me talk to Miss Field.”
aring my voice, they both froze, then turned around.
Finally, I sat on the couch with Aurora. She looked at me and, after a moment, smiled.
