Xavier felt amused and a bit awkward. He chuckled, “Mr. Shawn I’m not sure if they’re a perfect match, but I can see you’re here to show off how pretty your granddaughter is. 

Lambert said. “Come on! Natalie is our family’s pride and joy. course, I want her to be happy. Now that your boss is passed out, why don’t you hold his hand and sign the papers? They’ll be in his name anyway.” 

Xavier felt like he was losing it. Suddenly, he understood why Easton had fainted. This old man was way too persistent. “Mr. Shawn, we can’t do that. Mr. Garcia and his wife have already signed the divorce agreement, but they just haven’t completed the formalities” 

Lambert squinted, plotting now. “Fine, I’ll get a few people to tie him up and drag him to get the divorce certificate.” 

Xavier’s eyes widened in horror as he thought, ‘No, we can’t do that!

Xavier followed, worried, Easton was eerily quiet, and the tension in the air was thick. 

What is he so worked up about? Natalie has saved Easton several times, but all it takes is one rescue by Jennifer to outshine, her. It’s like comparing childhood friends to a chance encounter the former always feels closer, Xavier sighed inwardly.

“What’s wrong with being from the country? If you look down on farmers, why are you eating vegetables? Why not just fancy yourself a city person and skip eating what farmers grow? Natalie couldn’t stand his smug attitude; her disdain was palpable. 

Vance felt his blood boil at her retort, his breaths quickening. Meeting her cold gaze, he thought to himself that if she weren’t so wicked, he might have actually liked having her as a sister.

“Natalie, you’re the one who’s wicked! Why am I the bad guy here? It’s embarrassing to share blood with you.” Vance believed if it weren’t for her, Jennifer would have been happily married to Easton by now.

Vance glared at her helpless expression, anger bubbling up again. “If you want to leave, then leave for good! Don’t hang around and disturb the Simpson family and our lives.
