Murray squinted slightly. “I got it, Natalie.”
The Shagrity Grand Hotel was hosting tonight’s party.
Murray entered with Natalie.
The banquet hall was dazzling in its splendor.
The hall was packed with guests in their finest clothes, turning every corner into a showcase of stylish outfits.
The soft music made everyone feel relaxed,
Murray took Natalie to a private room. After meeting Emma, he introduced Natalie to two high–end fabric vendors.
Natalie exchanged contact information with them, and then Murray went to find his friends.
He mentioned that two important friends were dropping by to visit him tonight, and promised to be back in about thirty minutes to find her.
Just then, Maurice came over to Natalie, so Murray left her with Maurice.
Maurice’s eyes were fixed on Natalie’s stunning face. Tonight, she looked absolutely gorgeous, her skin radiantly growing. Her pink dress had a diamond–lined neckline, making her features look even more exquisite and captivating. “Natalie, you look absolutely gorgeous tonight,” Maurice said, his eyes brimming with warmth and admiration.
Natalie gave a modest smile at his praise. “I used to be so dull and spiritless, but now I’m living for myself, so of course I’ve got to dress the part.”
Natalie smiled charmingly, and under the lights, her eyes sparkled as if filled with stars.
Maurice was captivated. He had been exiled abroad by his grandfather for years and had seen many beautiful women. Some tried to seduce him while others pursued him, but none were as stunning as the girl before him.
“Come on, Natalie. Let me introduce you to my friends.” His voice softened unconsciously.
Natalie nodded. “Sure.”
Maurice was well–connected and on the rise, and she was eager to meet his influential friends.
Natalie lifted her gaze and saw Easton across the hall, looking at her coldly as if she had cheated on him.
Natalie’s eyes flickered, and she decided not to acknowledge Easton in such a public place.
She walked over to Maurice and said, “Maurice, let’s go.”
Easton tried to block Natalie, but Jennifer walked up to him and said, “Easton, you’re here.”
Jennifer made a grand entrance tonight, decked out in a white sequined mermaid gown that highlighted her flawless figure to perfection. Her makeup was subtle, accentuating all the best features of her face. She really had the look of a scheming bitch.
With Jennifer keeping Easton occupied, Natalie and Maurice slipped away smoothly.

Jennifer also noticed that Natalie looked stunning tonight. She wasn’t hiding her beauty at all.
Back when Natalie was a housewife, she never really bothered to dress up and wore casual clothes.
Noticing Easton’s attention captivated by Natalie, Jennifer felt a mounting sense of urgency and unease.
Jennifer said, “Easton, Mr. Wayne wants to meet you. I know you pulled out your investment because of Natalie.
“But Easton, ever since Natalie’s return, my insecurities have been through the roof. It’s only natural to feel this way. You know my background as an orphan makes nie more sensitive.
“I said those things to get more attention and care from you and my brothers. Easton, I swear I’ll change, and I won’t go after Natalie anymore.”
Jennifer looked at Easton with tears in her eyes.
In the past, whenever she cried, Easton would gently comfort her out of concern.
Easton’s gaze was nonchalant. “It’s okay. It’s you who’s losing face anyway. Take me to meet Mr. Wayne.
Easton was well aware of what Jennifer had done, which had left him with a cool, detached attitude towards her.
Jennifer knew he had a frosty nature, but–seeing him still being kind to her put her mind at ease.
Jennifer took him to see Colin.

Maurice and Natalie wanted to find a quiet place to chat but saw Wendy in the middle of a fight.
“You shameless woman. You tried to seduce my husband at the last party, and now you’re here flirting with him again? Can’t
you
survive without being with men? And pouring him drinks too? What exactly is your relationship with my husband?” Wendy’s angry voice resonated.
Natalie exchanged a glance with Maurice. She didn’t initially want to get involved, but then she saw the lady. She wondered ‘Isn’t that Jennifer’s biological mother?
Why did she come again? And she is blatantly drinking with Nick.
“These two have never been seen in public together before, so why are they suddenly appearing in public twice now?
‘It seems that Jennifer’s biological mother can’t wait to climb the social ladder any longer.
‘I remember that in my previous life, around this time, Wendy had already developed dementia. After hitting someone, was sent to a mental hospital, and it took a few months before Declan brought her back.
‘Wendy’s situation has changed, but nothing has changed regarding Jennifer’s biological mom.
Natalie and Maurice went over together and saw that Jennifer’s mom’s face was swollen from Wendy’s slap.
She hid behind Nick, glaring viciously at the angry Wendy but didn’t dare to make a sound.
Nick shielded her behind him and looked at Wendy, explaining, Wendy, don’t misunderstand. She just came to apologize for what happened last time. There’s really nothing between us. You slapped her and let off some steam. Just let it slide, alright?”
Wendy sneered as she glanced at the greasy–looking Nick, her eyes flashing. “Nick, how do you expect me to just let it slide?

“You’re telling me there’s nothing going on? Do you really think anyone here will believe that?
Wendy raised her voice, intent on causing a scene.
She thought, ‘Why not reveal to everyone the real ugliness behind Nick’s pretense of being a devoted husband?
‘I want to force this woman to come forward, making Nick ask for a divorce.
‘I have already gathered plenty of evidence, enough to leave him with nothing when the time comes.
‘Nick, who valued money above all else, would be devastated without it. Without money, let’s see how their love will survive.
Without money, Nick’s relatives will practically hound him to death.
‘Over the years, I have been supporting a bunch of ungrateful people.
‘No one appreciates me. They just keep scheming against me.
‘Recently, I ended several business partnerships with his relatives. In a few days, it should reach Nick’s attention.
“Without the lure of money, where exactly will this so–called love stand?‘
Nick was very anxious. He really didn’t know Camellia Grace would come over today.
He hadn’t seen Camellia for days. His sexual struggles had driven him to seek her out, hoping for a different outcome, but he didn’t expect to run into her tonight.
Wendy had suspected him before, and now, having caught him red–handed twice, he felt like his marriage with Wendy was
over.
It seemed like it was time to accelerate the plan.
He said with a smile, “Wendy, I’m sorry. This is really a misunderstanding. With so many people at the party, it’s hard not to bump into her. If she’s attending a party like this, it’s good to offend her.
“I promise to keep my distance from other women. I know you don’t like me being around other women. Wendy, I’ve kept my distance. I am always careful not to upset you and rarely even chat with them.”
Those words portrayed Wendy as a jealous woman.
