Easton glanced at Jennifer with a cold smirk, “The deal is you get rid of those illegitimate kids of yours. Send that interfering mistress and your other women abroad. Do all that, and I’ll marry Jennifer.”
William was stunned. It took him a while to process what he heard, and then he yelled in anger, “Easton, you heartless jerk! How dare you say something like that?”
Easton chuckled, a deeper meaning behind his smile, simply watching him rage with calm.
Easton thought, ‘Now he shows his temper? It’s no use crying over spilled milk. William has always wanted me dead, and all I ever feel for William is pure hate!‘
At that moment, Jennifer felt like a bucket of ice water had completely doused her excitement, leaving her chilled to the
core.
“Easton, what do you mean by that?” Her heart tightened as she looked at Easton, her eyes red with grievance. Easton turned out to be totally unreliable to her.
Easton looked at her with a distant expression. “Ms. Simpson, do you remember what I told you? My grandfather will never let you into the Garcia family. Even if I divorce Natalie, I won’t marry you.”
“Since this is a marriage alliance, it should have some value, right?” After Easton finished speaking, he stood up and left. The coldness in his voice left Jennifer feeling chilled to the bone.

Suddenly, something crossed Natalie’s mind. There was another possibility–everything Easton was doing was paving th way for his illegitimate children.
She remembered Easton’s mother mentioning that William had childhood sweetheart.
But back then, the Garcia family faced financial problems, which led to the arranged marriage with Easton’s mother, Charlotte.
After overcoming the crisis, he abandoned his wife and child, lived as if married to his childhood sweetheart, and rarely came home. Natalie thought, ‘But who is this woman?”
It looked like she need to find a chance to meet Charlotte. She remembered that Easton’s young sweetheart was a few years younger than him. After they got married, he even organized a grand proposal ceremony for her.

“Oh come on! We’re the same age, this is the time to have fun. Why make yourself so tired? Relax a bit.” Murray was insistent; he loved going to bars at night.
Going home just meant playing video games, and that was not very exciting.
Natalie still refused, feeling a bit confused at the moment.
“Alright then, I’ll go by myself. Be careful on your way back.” Murray grabbed his coat and went downstairs with her. When they reached the lobby, Natalie’s phone rang. She saw it was Lambert and answered the video call.
“Grandpa, have you had dinner yet?” Natalie asked with a smile.
“Yes, yes, I’ve just eaten. The sea cucumber here is really good, and I love it. I’ll bring some back for you.” He chuckled warmly.
-Natalie beamed happily. “Grandpa, have a great time while you’re out.”
“Oh! Who’s that handsome young man I see with you?” Lambert’s voice was lively and a bit high–pitched.
Natalie turned the camera toward Murray, not wanting Lambert to get
the wrong
idea.
She chuckled. “Grandpa, you know him. It’s Murray. He took me out for dinner tonight; I’m still out. Don’t overthink it.”

Lambert clapped his hands excitedly, his smile reaching from car to ear. “Natalie, Murray is also quite handsome! You did a fantastic job, finally overshadowing that sly devil Easton. If you like this Murray, spend more time with him.
Murray grinned widely, thinking how adorable Lambert was. He really loved this delightful old gentleman.
“Hello, Grandpa, I’m Murray,” he greeted in a formal manner.
“Murray! Hello! I know your grandma, and she’s quite an extraordinary person.” Lambert beamed with joy.
Murray felt a bit proud. That was true. His grandma was once a famous young lady, talented in all arts and a swimming champion back in the day.
Lambert chimed in, “Alright, you kids go on your date, I’m off to have some fun!” Then, he hung up.
Natalie rubbed her forehead, thinking about how mischievous Lambert could be.
