Wendy was in shock, never thinking Jennifer would be on guard against her. The fact that Jennifer came with a mental health diagnosis surprised her.
“Jennifer, where did you get that? I’ve never been to a hospital. I’m not mentally ill; this is just a made–up excuse for you to keep up your perfect image. But nothing you do can fix how shady you and your family are.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m not the mentally ill one; it’s really Nick and Jennifer. Jennifer plotted with Easton to hurt my daughter. At Jennifer’s birthday party, they even paid a servant to fake a kidnapping.
“Easton knocked Natalie out that day; it was all part of their plan to make me throw out my own child. I fell for their trap, and I admit it. I am left with nothing. Everyone will see who steals my company.”
Jennifer was aware of Wendy’s unpredictability and had prepared herself, but she was confused as to why Wendy involved
Easton.
Easton remembered hitting Natalie; anger had driven him, but all he thought about was hurting Jennifer. He didn’t take time to learn the truth.

With these thoughts, Easton turned quickly to look at Natalie beside him. She looked blank, coldly watching the drama unfold.
The crowd was buzzing.
“This is big news. The Tompson family’s downfall might be Jennifer and Easton’s doing.”
“Easton loves Jennifer; it’s clear. I heard she’s starting to act in films, and Easton is the one funding them.”
“I saw Easton rent out a whole mall for Jennifer; his devotion to her is unmatched.”
“No matter what kind of good girl Jennifer pretends to be, Mr. Garcia’s devotion to her is commendable. I wish for a man like that.”
As Easton took in the scene, he realized he had hurt Natalie beyond repair. Unable to stand her blank expression, he moved closer.
Wendy cried out. “Ah! Easton! Again, defending Jennifer. But I’m completely broke. Do you want to secretly kill me after calling me mentally ill and sending me to a mental hospital?
“Alexander is already missing; please spare me! I have nothing left. Nick tricked me, pushed away my four sons, and schemed against my company. I’ve sold everything–I truly have nothing left. Please, let me be.”
Wendy sank to the ground in pain, fully embracing her victim status.
Jennifer was stunned, taken aback by this unexpected show of weakness from Wendy.
Wendy had turned into a victim, and Jennifer understood why she involved Easton; Wendy’s words carried more weight with him on her side. Without Easton’s support, Wendy wouldn’t have dared to speak like this.
Wendy’s affection for Jennifer was clear to everyone, and her portrayal of suffering was powerful. Jennifer wondered if Wendy’s loss had really broken her proud spirit.

Maris helped Wendy to her feet. “Jennifer, how dare you call her mentally ill? You’re the one with issues. Wendy deserves sympathy, yet you keep trashing her, erasing her efforts as if you’re worthy of being in the spotlight!”
With tears in her eyes, Wendy begged Jennifer, “Jennifer, I see my mistakes. I won’t cause trouble anymore. I accept your family as they are; please, let me go.”
Jennifer’s words hit Wendy hard, making her feel completely humiliated.
Camellia cut in, “Wendy, stop tormenting my daughter. You clearly invaded my relationship with Nick…”
Wendy shot back with pain, “You still live in the villa Nick bought for you. The property transfer date matched Jennifer’s second birthday. You knew about me while I didn’t know about you. How can I be the intruder?
“Anyone who knows me sees how hard Nick chased me back then; I was alone, and so was he. I couldn’t have been the third party!”
Wendy thought Camellia’s blame was ridiculous. Now that she achieved her goals, Jennifer couldn’t use her connections
anymore.
Maris shouted, “Camellia, you shameful woman! How dare you come to my party? When you were in bed with my husband, did you think about how you’d face me after?”
This party was hosted by Maris.
Wendy had been invited by Maris specifically.
Earlier, Wendy provided Maris with proof–the video of Camellia and Colin together.
Seeing Maris, Camellia’s face turned pale in fear. Nick had already hit her over this issue once.
If everyone found out about her relationship with Colin, she would not only lose her status, but she couldn’t show her face here again, which would hurt her daughter’s future too.
Camellia was in despair, confused by how everything had gone so wrong. She thought she’d be honored as Mrs. Simpson.
Every secret meeting with Colin was hidden; she had no idea how Maris learned the truth.
Desperately shaking her head, Camellia pleaded, “Maris, my relationship with Colin is a misunderstanding. Please, don’t ruin my name like this.”
Maris smirked in scorn. “A wretched person like you still cares about your reputation?”
