Chapter 11
“Alright, then. You carry on with what you were doing. I’ll go move your things.
Since Whitney had gotten the answer she wanted, she decided to leave so that Julius could continue doing his work
Before she could hop off his lap, he held her back.
She looked at him puzzledly. “What’s wrong?”
He smiled and said. “Th not busy”
In other words, he didn’t want her to leave now,
She took the hint and wrapped her arms around his neck as she said. “Be a good boy and finish your work first, okay? I’ll be waiting for you in the room.”
Then, she quickly gave him a peck on the lips and ran out of the study before he could stop her.
In the past, Julius really hated to see the view of her back because he normally associated it with her walking away and leaving him.
But now, he didn’t feel awful anymore when he saw her back. Perhaps he was finally beginning to process everything she had said to him, or perhaps it was because he knew that she had actually hit her own cousin to defend him. He even felt a sweetness in his heart now,
After some time, he sighed and closed the file he was looking at
He had been staring at the same proposal for nearly half an hour but he still hadn’t finished reading it.
His entire mind was filled with nothing but Whitney’s beautiful smile and the adorable view of her back. So, even though he was often called a workaholic, he simply couldn’t continue reading the proposal anymore and he didn’t really want to either. The thought of Whitney being just a few doors down made him finally decide to give up. Since there was no point in trying, he went looking for Whitney instead..
When he opened the door, he found May standing outside, looking at him as if she was in a difficult position.
“What’s wrong?” His instincts told him that Whitney must have done something.
As he had expected, May started a little hesitantly, “Tm… I’m not sure what Mrs. Latreille is doing but I can hear a lot of noise coming from the room. I knocked on the door several times but she didn’t respond. I was about to look for you when you came out from the study. I think you had better take a look at what she’s doing.”

instantly became panicky as he walked as quickly as possible towards the room Whitney was in
When he got to the door, there was no sound coming from inside the room. He looked strangely at May and she was about to say something when he put his hand up to stop her from speaking and walked right into the room.
His heart sank the minute he stepped into the room.

Besides the furniture, none of Whitney’s everyday essentials remained.
He immediately became frantic and turned to give instructions, Eugene! Get the authorities to seal off the roads and send some people out to look for Whitney! No, never mind, I’ll look for her myself!”
Eugene began cursing Whitney in his heart but he began making calls to carry out Julius‘ orders anyway.

Chapter 11
Just then, the door to the guest room where Julius usually slept in opened.
Whitney appeared in front of everyone with a suitcase in hand and asked them with a completely confused look on her face, “What’s going on? Do you guys need to attend to something urgent?”
Eugene nearly blurted out. “Yeah, our urgent mission is to look for you, but he stopped himself in time, then proceeded to calmly give instructions to cancel all the arrangements he had made.
The dots in Julius‘ brain connected as he recalled what Whitney was talking to him about earlier. He realized he had simply panicked instead of making sense of the situation first.
Furthermore, he had assumed that Whitney was going to move his things to the master bedroom when she agreed to sleep in the same room as him. He didn’t think she would move to his quest room instead.
“Julius, what’s wrong?”
When he didn’t respond to her, she waved a hand in front of his face.
He snapped out of his daze and caught her hand. His voice was a little stiff as he asked, “What are you doing with the suitcase?”
She turned her attention to the suitcase beside her and said, “Oh, this? I wanted to move our stuff, remember? So, I packed all my things into this suitcase and moved them over to this rou.”
“Oh! You’re wondering why I didn’t move your things? Well, I didn’t know if there was anything you wouldn’t like me to touch, so…” she mumbled a little awkwardly.
To her surprise, Julius responded, “There’s nothing you can’t touch. You can touch any of my things and any part of my body too.”
That remark at the end made her feel a little aroused, so she quickly said she was going to t She really needed to catch her breath in private.
“Uh, ahem, I’ve… put the suitcase away. Are you done with your work already?”

After Whitney had stored the suitcase, she saw that Julius was still standing at the same spot and even his expression remained the same.
Was she implying something else by asking this, thought Julius as he lied and said without changing his expression, “Yes, I’m done.”
Whitney didn’t care whether he was telling the truth or not and just pulled him into the bedroom. “Then, let’s get ready for bed. We’ve got to get up in time to meet Mom and Dad for lunch tomorrow too.”
He nodded and watched as she hopped into the bathroom to take a shower.
But before he could begin imagining his life sleeping in the same room as Whitney, he heard a yelp from inside the bathroom.
He went into panic mode, totally forgetting what she was doing inside the bathroom and barged right in.
“What’s wrong? What’s happened? The first thing he saw was Whitney sitting on the floor without anything on.

His first instinct was to turn around as he asked a little awkwardly. “Whitney, are you alright?”
“I… your shower tiles are so slippery,” she replied with a slight crack in her voice.
He felt like slapping himself for forgetting to tell her that his bathroom had no anti–slip mats, unlike the one attached to the

“I’m sorry, Whitney. I forgot to tell you.”
Julius was the type who always took the blame for everything.
“You silly boy, this isn’t your fault.” After trying to get up and failing, she finally asked him for help, “Could you help me up though!”
He grabbed the bathrobe hanging on the door, turned around to wrap it around her, then carried her out of the bathroom.
Then, he sat her down in the bedroom and started to blow dry her hair. It was so comfortable that she nearly fell asleep halfway through.
Once he was done, he switched the hairdryer off and asked, “Do you need me to rub some ointment on your bruise?”
That woke her up.
Even though she had been taking the initiative ever since she was reborn, she felt a little embarrassed when he said this. A red flush slowly covered her face and she sounded unnatural as she replied, “N–no need, I’m fine.”
It was so obvious that she was just being shy, so Julius bent down and whispered into her ear, “Don’t worry, I’m just rubbing some ointment, that’s all.
Her face blushed red at this point. She simply couldn’t resist him at all.
