Chapter 32: Your Son’s Being Bullied!
NoDi’s furious outburst echoed through the restroom hallway, Passerdry fanced a b commotion. Gossip was human nature, and his words were ripe with athlet John’s face darkened. He rarely had pleasant encounters with Noth
“You betrayed Lily! Even if she’s gone, you should remain faithful! Don’t you Chinese have chastity arches? Why don’t you…”
“Shut up!”
John
frowned. Even after fifteen
years,
NoDi’s Chinese hadn’t improved
“My relationship with my wife is none of your business”
Lily bore you three children!”
“You always wanted to see Andy,” John interrupted. He wasn’t going to explain or engage which NoDi; Lily was waiting upstairs! He wouldn’t waste another second. He promptly sold out his
son.
“Andy is here, on the first floor.”
NoDi had met Andy once when he was three years old. He’d wanted to be Andy’s godfather, but John had refused. Over the years, NoDi occasionally inquired about Andy, but John never responded.
Thinking of the boy with Lily’s nose and mouth, NoDi’s eyes lit up. He was Lily’s son!
Before he could ask more, John had walked away. NoDi abandoned his reproaches, he had to see Andy! He could recount his appearance to Lily in his dreams!
However, NoDi’s pursuit of Andy was interrupted by his special assistant, who received an urgent overseas call from headquarters. Checking his watch, NoDi said, “Ten minutes. He had see Andy!
As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. Lily and John had both been “found,” and Andy on the first floor wasn’t spared either.
“Oh, look who it is, Janson, the campus heartthrob,” a young man in a white suit sneered, appraising Andy.“Not even wearing a suit. If you didn’t have my invitation, you’d have been stopped at the door!” He added with a smug laugh,“Oh, and you don’t know this, but Wang Hui borrowed her invitation from me!”
Andy’s two classmates
exchanged
worried
glances.
Michael
was trouble.
Michael, a classmate, despised Andy – or rather, envied him. He envied his looks, his academic achievements, and the fact that the girl he liked had rejected him for Andy. The envy was profound.
Since sophomore year, Michael had constantly harassed Andy, but Andy ignored him, unimpressed by his tactics.
Andy’s presence today was at the request of Wang Hui, the student council vice president. He was the only one fluent in French. While securing sponsorship was a long shot, they had several targets. Two key decision–makers were French, hence Wang Hui’s attempt to utilize Andy’s language skills.

Chapter 32 Your Son’s Being Bullie…
To enter the auction, one needed an invitation or to secure a temporary position. Michael had offered his invitation, which Wang Hui accepted, assuming he wanted to help the school. Now if was clear this was an act of deliberate humiliation!
Since university, Andy hadn’t used his father’s money. In his freshman year, he worked part–time; by sophomore year, he started investing, and now his savings allowed him to buy his mother a gift. He was discreet about his wealth and not one for show First impressions were crucial. Everyone knew Andy had worked part–time during his freshman year, creating the impression of modest means. Michael, thwarted in his attempts to embarrass Andy, devised this plan. To expose the wealth disparity, to plant seeds of self–doubt and destroy Andy’s confidence–that’s how you truly hurt someone. The university was one thing, but post–graduation was a different story! Andy’s current success was meaningless; without connections, he was nothing after graduation!
“You’re quite comfortable here. Any money for bidding? My advice: observe the attendees. See who might sponsor your pathetic student council,” Michael said condescendingly, his malicious intent clear. Others subtly shifted their attention.
Bella descended from the second floor to Lindsey’s side.“Is this your guy? Not a girl?” she whispered.
“No, mine’s still stuck in traffic!”
Bella’s plan to target Lily was Plan A; Plan B involved Lindsey sending someone to humiliate Andy. Lily’s reaction would be crucial. If she intervened, Lindsey’s person would insult her, embarrassing Lily. If she remained silent, Lindsey and Bella would use it to sow discord, making Andy believe his mother was uncaring and indifferent. Either way, Lindsey would exploit the situation.
However, the person Lindsey had sent was stuck in traffic. Michael, seizing the opportunity, stepped in. Now, it was Lily’s turn to react.
Lindsey now loathed Lily intensely. She had intended to use Amy, but she was unreachable. She had unexpectedly teamed
with Bella, both victims of Lily’s actions.

On the second floor, Lily noticed the commotion. The sound carried upstairs; the second–floor boxes were open–plan, making it easy to hear. Michael’s loud voice and deliberate attempts at humiliation ensured Lily heard every word.
John returned to his seat, finding Lily looking down from the balcony.“What’s wrong? “Your son is being bullied,” Lily stated calmly, pointing towards the source.“That man in white is insulting him, mocking him for being unworthy of sitting here, subtly emphasizing his lack of wealth.”
John’s scalp tingled. Lily was angry. Which mother could remain calm while witnessing her son’s humiliation? What kind of life had Andy been leading at school for his classmates to think he was unworthy of even entering this auction?
