Chapter 10
Rosalie’s face turned pale as she stared at me with wide eyes.
“You…”
“I,” I grinned, “I just want to ask Miss Rosalie, is it true that, back in the day, to make your
first love come back to you, you drugged both Nico and me?”
In an instant, Rosalie’s expression froze.
“What do you mean, drugged? I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
She tried to grab my phone, but I managed to dodge her.
The conversation in the video continued.
“Zachary, what will it take for you to agree to get back together? I’ve already made the first
move–what else do you want?”
The man’s voice was cold.
“Wait until you’ve completely cut ties with that Turner. Don’t make me feel uncomfortable,
okay?”
Rosalie hesitated for a second before quickly nodding.
“Don’t worry, Zachary. I’ll handle it.”
The rest of the video wasn’t played, as Nico suddenly snatched my phone away and threw it
hard on the floor. His breathing was rapid, and his chest heaved.
“Rosalie, what is this supposed to mean? How do you plan to fix our relationship?”
Realizing she couldn’t hide it anymore, Rosalie’s face turned ashen. Her eyes quickly darted around, and she quickly gathered tears in her eyes.
“Nico, don’t you trust me?”
She helplessly leaned on the man, crying, “This video doesn’t prove anything. After all these years together, you’re still treating me like this?”
Seeing the woman’s tears, Nico hesitated, as if unsure which version of the story was true,
I watched all of this with disdain. What a fool.
She must have been drugged into stupidity.
“Miss Rosalie, don’t cry just yet. Take a look at this surveillance footage.”
I picked up the phone from the floor. Thankfully, it wasn’t broken and still played.
In the video, Rosalie secretly bribed the staff at the academic seminar that day to drug both
Nico and me.
“You want to get back with your first love, so you needed to make Nico lose interest in you. And then here I am, the perfect opportunity for you. You just wanted Nico to marry me so you’d have no choice but to leave him, right?”
“Too bad, your first love was just a fantasy. You only found out later that your first love had already married and had kids. You were deceived, so you had no choice but to return to Ly
Nico and enjoy his favoritism.”
“The scheme you plotted, I can hear it all the way from my ancestors‘ graves.”
Nico stood silently, his face growing darker and darker, as if the air around him was
turning heavy.
“Rosalie, have I ever treated you badly over the years?”
He looked at her the way he used to, but now, there was no affection in his eyes–just
coldness.
“Why? Why did you have to scheme against me?”
Rosalie was now so scared she could only shake her head helplessly, tears brimming in her
eyes.
“It’s not like that, Nico. Let me explain-”
“Explain what?!”
Nico yelled, successfully silencing her.

The footage on the surveillance camera was crystal clear–there was no way to deny it.
During my time in the hospital, I thought things through. I needed to leave this cage and
expose the true faces of this worthless man and woman!
After a long silence, Rosalie finally realized she couldn’t hide it anymore and decided to
come clean.
“Yes, Nico. I lied to you. Back then, I wanted to run away with Zachary, so I had to use some
methods.”
“But what’s wrong with that? What’s wrong with me pursuing my true love?!”
