That night, King Miroslav didn’t sleep. Instead, his mind was filled with the different things that Drescher may have used against the woman he loved.

The king was finally accepting that he was in love with the Lyca queen. It was a thought that seemed so trivial, but for man who had been surrounded by enemies and knew nothing of romance and genuine love, thinking of Ralphine as his love was worth noting. She had given him a reason to give love chance and he wouldn’t let it go.
“You, Viktor, and Kara need to dress up, we are going to Koslov, King Miroslav said to Heion who had come to check on him in the morning.
It wasn’t normal for the Lycan king to be passive with his friend, but even they understood that the situation was dire and that there was a need to leave the king be. But then again, they knew him best and they knew it was just a matter of time before he exploded. That wasn’t something that they could control, but perhaps they would be by his side, to help him through this delicate situation.
“I know it might sound out of line, but you’re not doing too well brother. What did you find out? Why do you look so disheveled and why are we going to Koslov this early?” Heion asted as he walked into the room, ignoring his best friend’s order for him to leave and go out there to get ready,
Of course, the brothers would always be ready for whatever, but right now, it just didn’t seem right to them. King Aliroslav had never been this disoriented and maybe that was why they were openly worried for him. It was a puzzle they were yet to figure out and it wasn’t doing them any justice, not to mention Miro himself. The sooner they got to the bottom of all this the sooner they would be able to clear the path for whatever they wanted to do,
“The letters–Miro said as he glanced at the letters he had thrown on the floor the previous night. He couldn’t believe he had fallen for that trick. This right here was the first time someone had predicted his moves and while it wasn’t at war, he knew he couldn’t let this go. He needed to get back his control because otherwise, he would lose his mind.
“What about them? Viktor said they were from Drescher to Queen Ralphine. Is there something you found there? Did she really leave us for him? Did she abandon us?” Heion asked, his voice getting shaky and fragile at the end. He may have been a strong Lycan warrior, but Heion was still a Lycan at the end of the day, and just like any Lycan with wishes, he still hoped that their kingdom would be whole like the other factions.
Miroslav looked at his best friend, not sure if this was the time for them to be emotional, but he couldn’t deny that he missed her so much it was screwing with him. He wanted to be there for her and now that he was assuming the worst, he knew he had to be truly ready for that. There was just no way that Drescher had done all of this just to mess with the king And with his queen missing. Miro knew there was only one way to set things straight.
Perhaps at the end of the day, they would have an easy time, but until then, they would be able to fix it. He would get to the bottom of all this.
“Yeah,” the king sighed before he told his best friend of what he had found out. By the time he was done explaining, Viktor and Kara were in the room and they were pissed as hell.
Polina had also joined them a few minutes later.
“When do we leave!” Viktor asked, his voice so chilly.
“Now. Let’s go, King Miroslav said before he got up from his bed, changed his clothes, and walked out with his friends. He knew there had to be a way out of this and if the Koslovs had the Lycan queen they had to give the king a really valid reason for that, otherwise the pack would burn to the ground and Miroslav Ibrahimovich would love every bit of it. He just didn’t care about anything at this point other than the love of his life.

“Is she coming with us?” Kara asked the king, as she looked at Polina. They were currently at the Asmoria borders, ready to set course for Koslov. They looked like they were going for talks, but then they were fueled by anger and the desperation that came with finding their missing queen. It wasn’t something normal for them but they hoped that they would find her.
They had to, because there was no guarantee that Asmoria would ever be the same after this. If they didn’t find her, they would be doomed and that wasn’t a fate they wanted to explore at the moment, not when they would be risking going back to the days when the only time they saw the Lycan king was when he was on the battlefield or killing people just because he could.
“Yes. Is there a problem, kara?” Viktor asked and Kara just stared at them like she couldn’t believe this. Either they were too trusting of the woman or they were not in the mood to be pointing fingers.
“I don’t know. Is there a problem, Polina?” Kara asked angrily as she looked at the warrior who was snow off her horse and was staring at the queen’s high guard with dark eyes.
There was warning in Polina’s eyes but then Kara was a motivated and angry warrior who wanted to know what the heck had happened out there. This woman had to have played a part in all the mess and Kara wasn’t going to forgive that, not when she could get them to understand how dangerous Polina Rostova was to the kingship and even the kingdom in itself.
“You had better tread carefully, Kara, King Miroslav said to the high guard at the same time that Polina spoke and boy was it going to be a long morning.
