“Oh damn, there’s just no way.”
“She really did it.”
“I thought she was different.”
“Damn, that was brutal.”
“I can’t watch this.”
“What the heck just happened here? What did we witness?”
There were gasps around the dungeon as the Lycans watched their Queen do the unthinkable to the woman who had exposed her to so much pain. She had been so swift, and so cruel that most hadn’t expected this from the girl who knew the pain of all that came with the horrors of rejection. They looked at her in shock while others watched her with utmost pride. The others wouldn’t even begin to fathom what they had just watched so they stood there, awestruck as they watched their Queen get busy with Polina Rostova.
“Ralph She’s dead, askim. She’s dead. She won’t hurt you again, my love…. Give me the blade sweetheart, let me hold it for you.” King Miroslav said to his Queen whose hands were holding a deadly grip on the blade in her hands.
It was a blade that the King had gifted her months ago, but she had never once thought to use it. Kara always told her she needed to protect herself with it, and if ever she felt threatened, she would just swipe it and it would do the rest. Ralph had always thought that it had been an over–exaggeration by Kara, but right now she wasn’t sure anymore. She wasn’t certain that this was what she had become. Perhaps pain had finally broken the last shred of her soul, right?
“It’s okay, askim. It’s really okay,” King Miroslav said as he watched whatever was left of his best friend.
He could see Polina’s head rolling to the side, while her limbs were separated. Her intestines were trashed all over the place! not to mention her heart was there in the mess. She had been butchered, literally by Ralph. It had all happened so quickly that by the time they all realized what had happened, the entire dungeon was driven into silver. Hell, Polina hadn’t even gotten the chance to scream or plead for mercy or help, because Ralph had gotten her heart out first, before slicing her head clean off ber neck, as if to make sure she had her best time with the woman who had hurt her so badly.
“Hey. Look at me, baby. You’re okay,” the King said as he shook his Queen’s hands. Her gaze was still on the mess she had caused and had thrived in. Her clothes were bloody, and everything about her was covered in Polina’s blood. This was the kind of brutality that even scared King Miroslav himself. He couldn’t believe that his beautiful Erasthai was capable of this, but then he couldn’t spell that out loud for her. He could see how this was affecting her, and boy did he want to say something to make it all better.
Ralphine could feel all the air get knocked out of her lungs when the realization dawned on me, as she fell to her knees, the blade still in her hands, held so tightly like she was scared they would want to hurt her for this, she could hear the whispers and the chaos that was about to ensue. She knew she had done the one thing that no one had ever dared to do. It was, unexpected and unimaginable even with the Lycans, but they didn’t say a word, even as their Queen sobbed–lightly on her knees. She was in shock and had a feeling that this shit wouldn’t wear off for a while.
Heion, who had been glad to imprison his best friend, looked at what had remained ef Polina. He knew the truth was right there with them. There Was never going to be another Polina. There was never going to be another fairy day for the two of them. There was never going to be a time when he would crack joke and Polina would laugh at them even though they were messed–up jokes. There were never going to be any more late–night parties with his best friend and that broke his heart.
Granted heroin had all been for killing the woman and resurrecang her a few times, but it was only because he knew that Lycans were immortal and couldn’t easily die. However, the blade that Ralphine had been gifted was one of the few blades that could put an end even to an immortal: There was no telling why the King had gifted it to her, but maybe it was because the King wanted Ralph to use it on him, if ever the day came the Miroslav was out of control and no one could calm him down. It was a fate that the King had accepted but he hadn’t expected this. Not like this, but what else could he do?

“Polina…” Heion whimpered sadly as he looked at the mess that was his former best friend. He loved Polina, like a sister. He knew there were days when things hadn’t been right, but they always knew they would see each other again. Ralph had taken that from him and their friend group. She had eliminated one of the three people that the King cared about the most and for a moment, Heion wanted to avenge his best friend. Then again, he had to remember that the woman was his Queen and she had just been defending her territory. This was revenge for Ralph and there was no denying it. But did it have to be this ‘brittle?
“I’m sorry, Heion. I’m so sorry, Ibrahim,” Ralph said as she shed silent tears. She was shocked that he had been able to do this, and she wasn’t sure what the future held for her, on one hand she was the Queen but on the other she was the girl who had taken someone else’s life this time, it wasn’t an army that was doing it in her name. She had held the blade and struck. Polina on her own. She could still feel the warm gush of Polina’s blood hitting her face. She could still feel how her heart had pulsed in her hand and Ralph pulled it out of Polina’s chest so fast like she was working with a timeline. Everything was intense and wild.
“She was a traitor, askim. I would have killed her if you didn’t,” the King said, and Ralph looked up at her husband, the man she loved so much but also the man she had snatched a friend from. She knew Miro was just telling her that to keep her calm, but how long before everything came down on her? How long would it take before everything she held dear came crashing because of this one decision?
Ralph was very aware that Polina’s father was an elder of the King’s court and Polina had been his only child and daughter. The man had been present and even came to the festival. Elder Rostova was a man of the law and as much as he would be glad that his daughter had been silenced because of treason, he wouldn’t be happy to know the way she had been silenced, raised questions of their Queen was already adapting to their King’s toxic fate. Maybe this was what had to be done but like this? Was it the right relay? So much would happen and she had just started the storm. Perhaps Drescher was right, she didn’t belong here.
‘Maybe if I snap my neck all of this would stop, right?‘ Ralph thought to herself as she looked at the people around her. She could feel the King’s soft gaze on her, the high guards and their pride in her decision, and she could feel the heartbreak that Heion was radiating. There were so many mixed emotions, and Ralph considered taking an easy way out. However just before she could do anything to herself a wolf thought narrated her head, one that got her changing her stance and getting up
from where she had been kneeling, and wiping away her tear
‘She deserved it. You are the Queen, Ralphine, act like one, Ralph thought and she figured if she would be worse than the King, then so be it. She had endured years of mistreatment and this was the first time she had faced one of her bullies and won. She loved how relieving it was and how safe she felt. She felt like her power could be used for something better. She was no longer the girl who could dream and wait to be saved when no one was ever really going to come for her. Instead, she was the Queen. The most powerful woman in the Asmoria Kingdom and the entire realm. She was the Lycan Queen.
“Dammit. The blood will ruin this beautiful blade, Ralph suddenly said, her tone cold as she grabbed a piece of Kara’s clothing and wiped the blood off the blade with it. It was all so casual and so indifferent that Kara herself had to take a second look at her Queen
Surely this couldn’t be the same woman who had been on her knees crying her heart out earlier, right? She couldn’t be the same woman who was scared shitless of what people would think, yeah? Well, she was still that same woman. She has all of that and more. However, instead of choosing to focus on the pain she inflicted, Ralph decided to focus on what was coming next. She didn’t care that they would hate her. No one in power was ever as loved. Besides, it wasn’t like she was the first one. to kill another person.
“Is there anything left for us to do here Ibrahim?” the Lycan Queen asked so casually as she sheathed her blade and walked towards her husband. She could see the blood sputters on him, so she took the hem of her long gown and used it to wipe the blood off the King, a gesture that got the Lycans whispering indistinctly. The Queen hadn’t used her gown to wipe her blade but she was using it to clean her King up. It was a show of power and submission at the same time, a dynamic that Ralph herself had yet to understand. Everything she did was just the first thing in her mind and it was amazing to watch.
“Breakfast… We haven’t had breakfast,” King Miroslav said casually as he pulled his Queen by the waist, making Ralph whine slowly into him. He loved that sound and hoped for it more often. However, here and now he wanted her attention. So he gently got her hand off of his face, letting her gown fall back in the palace. The King then pushed the strands of hair on ber face, revealing the beautiful bloodied Queen he had married and gotten mated to.

casually you would think he was a cannibal. Well, the King could be anything really and he had proven that one too many times. He then kissed her nose, before his eyes went from her eyes to her full lips that were having streaks of blood. Instead of the King being grossed out by the sight, King Miroslav simply captured those lips with his, enjoying the metallic taste of blood, and the soft lips that were his to kiss at any time he wanted to.
What had begun as a light kiss quickly grew into a hunger for more, a hunger to eat each other out, and they did it. Shamelessly kissing each other like the world could go fuck itself, ignoring the fact that they had somewhat managed to find themselves right in the middle of the bloodied puddle of body parts that were once Polina Rostova. The King held his Queen’s neck and pushed her closer to him, deepening the kiss as they let themselves live in their own little world. They were crazy, but they weren’t unexpected. The universe had just proven to the entire Asmoria that sometimes what they considered bad wasn’t exactly the worst they had seen.
“Kara… Do you think we can still get the breakfast we missed out on?” Ralph asked casually when she and Miroslav pulled apart, lips swollen and soaked in each other’s saliva, and Polina’s blood. The King had long licked her face clean and the only blood sputters were on her hair, but that was a non–issue to them. The King loved what he was seeing in his erasthai and he didn’t mind anything else.
“What?” Kara asked, unsure of what that was supposed to mean, surely the woman who had just murdered one of the King’s best friends wasn’t asking her for mere breakfast instead of commanding it, right? There had to be some loose screws somewhere in this relationship they had come to normalize. That was the only other possible explanation for her, and boy did she look so confused.
“Breakfast… You said we would eat if we came to see Polina,” Ralph said with a pout and Kara could have sworn the world stopped spinning. Either that, or she was dead, because what the fuck was she hearing?
“Huh? Umm.. yes… The Kitchens are ready with your breakfast your Highnesses,” Kara said, not sure if that was the right answer or not. She just hoped she wasn’t mauled like the queen hadn’t fucked up Polina right there.
“Oh great,” Ralph said excitedly before turning to her husband, what do you say we get out of here?”
“Thought you’d never ask, askim. Come along. Heion and the warriors will clean up the mess,” the King said, before he and his Queen casually walked out of the dungeons, their heads held high and their hands entwined like lovers echoing their first moonlight.
Oh, but it was going to be a long day for Heion.
